We understand that you're feeling overwhelmed by your thoughts and struggling to focus on the present. First, we want to assure you that God cares about your thoughts and emotions. In 2 Corinthians 10:5 WEB, it says, "Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that is exalted against the knowledge of God, and bringing every thought into captivity to the obedience of Christ". You can take control of your thoughts and make them obedient to Jesus.
We commend you for turning to the Lord in prayer and asking for His blessings. However, we need to address that you mentioned asking for blessings on a situation involving someone and their ex. While we should pray for others, we should be cautious not to interfere with God's will or encourage ungodly relationships. We should never pray for the continuation of sin where there is fornication or adultery. In 1 Thessalonians 4:3 WEB, it says, "For this is the will of God: your sanctification, that you abstain from sexual immorality,". If the situation involves a sinful relationship, God's will is for repentance and turning away from that sin.
Therefore, we pray that if this situation involves sin, those involved will repent and turn to God. If there is no sin involved, we pray that God's will be done in their lives. Also, we ask God that this individual and their ex be transformed by a renewing of their mind from Romans 12:2 WEB, "Don't be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what is the good, well-pleasing, and perfect will of God.".
In Jesus' name, we pray that you will have peace and self-control over your thoughts. We encourage you to stay focused on things that are true, honorable, right, pure, lovely, and admirable as mentioned in Philippians 4:8 WEB. This is when we set our minds on things above and not on earthly things as stated in Colossians 3:2 WEB, "Set your mind on the things that are above, not on the things that are on the earth.".
We pray that you will grow in the knowledge and wisdom of God. He will guide you and help you take control of your thoughts. Remember, God is faithful, and He will help you overcome your struggles. Keep praying and trusting in Him.
