We come before the throne of grace with your request, lifting up your heart to the Lord who hears and answers prayer. First, we want to affirm that your desire to be surrounded by God’s blessing is beautiful and right. The Word of God assures us in Numbers 6:24-26, "The Lord bless you, and keep you; the Lord make his face to shine on you, and be gracious to you. The Lord lift up his face toward you, and give you peace." This is God’s heart for you, His blessing, protection, and peace.
However, we must gently address the language in your prayer regarding curses and enchantments. Scripture is clear that as believers, we are not to fear such things, for Christ has already disarmed the powers of darkness. Colossians 2:15 tells us, "Having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it." If you are a follower of Christ, you are already seated with Him in heavenly places (Ephesians 2:6), far above any spiritual opposition. Fear has no place in the life of a believer, for "God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control" (2 Timothy 1:7). Instead of asking God to protect you from curses, we encourage you to stand firm in the authority you have in Christ, knowing that "no weapon that is formed against you will prevail" (Isaiah 54:17).
We also want to gently remind you that our access to God’s presence and blessings comes solely through the name of Jesus Christ. There is no other name by which we can approach the Father (John 14:6). Acts 4:12 declares, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we urge you to do so today. Confess your sins, believe in His death and resurrection, and invite Him to be the Lord of your life. This is the first and most important step to receiving every spiritual blessing in Christ (Ephesians 1:3).
Now, let us pray together for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We thank You for Your child who has cried out to You, seeking Your blessing and presence. Lord, we ask that You would indeed surround them with Your favor, grace, and peace. Bless them in their spirit, soul, and body, just as 1 Thessalonians 5:23 declares: "May the God of peace himself sanctify you completely. May your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ."
Father, we rebuke any spirit of fear or oppression that may be attempting to take root in their life. We declare that Your perfect love casts out all fear (1 John 4:18), and we stand on the truth that no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We pray that You would open their eyes to see You in every situation, just as You promised in Jeremiah 33:3: "Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know."
Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your Holy Spirit, guiding them into all truth and empowering them to walk in victory. Help them to rest in Your promises and to trust in Your sovereignty over every area of their life. May they experience Your presence in a tangible way, knowing that You are with them always, even to the end of the age (Matthew 28:20).
We also pray for their spiritual growth, that they would be rooted and grounded in Your Word, growing in wisdom and understanding. May they be a light in this world, reflecting Your love and truth to those around them. Father, we ask that You would meet every need in their life, spiritually, emotionally, and physically, according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19).
Lastly, Lord, if there are any areas of their life that are not aligned with Your will, we ask that You would reveal them and give them the strength to surrender those areas to You. May they walk in holiness and righteousness all the days of their life, bringing glory to Your name.
We thank You, Father, for hearing our prayer. We trust in Your faithfulness and love, knowing that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). In the precious name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to stand firm in your faith, dear one. Meditate on God’s Word daily, for it is your sword and shield in spiritual battles. Surround yourself with fellow believers who can encourage and pray for you, and remember that "greater is he who is in you than he who is in the world" (1 John 4:4). You are not alone, God is with you, and He will never leave you nor forsake you (Hebrews 13:5). Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of your faith (Hebrews 12:2), and walk in the victory that is already yours in Christ.
