Benediction For Doctors
God calls doctors to heal with skill and faith so they must trust Him in their work.
Which Church?
Choose a church that saves your soul and your family’s, not the one that suits your taste.
Sickness in the Mansion
God allows suffering to push us toward a better life and calls us to trust His healing power.
We join with you in crying out to the Lord for your beloved wife and for the restoration of her eyesight, and we are deeply moved by your love and faithfulness as her husband as you intercede for her. It is beautiful to see a marriage where a husband lifts up his wife in prayer before the throne of grace, for marriage is a holy covenant ordained by God, and your steadfast care for her reflects His love for us.

We stand with you on the truth that our God hears when we cry out to Him. The psalmist declares in Psalm 34:17 that the righteous cry, and Yahweh hears, and delivers them out of all their troubles, and again in Psalm 34:15 that Yahweh's eyes are toward the righteous, and his ears open to their cry. We also cling to the promise in Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am Yahweh, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for me. And Jesus Himself said in Matthew 19:26 With God all things are possible.

We remember how Jesus in His earthly ministry opened the eyes of the blind, and that He is the same yesterday, today and forever. We remember that You formed her inward parts and knit her together, as it is written in Psalm 139:13 You formed my inmost being. You knit me together in my mother's womb, and we know that the same hands that formed her eyes at birth are able to heal and restore them again. We also hold to His promise in Psalm 103:2-3 Praise Yahweh, my soul, and don't forget all his benefits, who forgives all your sins, who heals all your diseases and in Jeremiah 30:17 But I will restore you to health, and I will heal you of your wounds, says Yahweh.

We pray together with you now in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, for it is only through His name that we have access to the Father and it is by His wounds we are healed.

Father in heaven, we come before You together in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up this dear wife to You and ask for Your mercy and healing power upon her left eye. Lord, You know the disappointment and waiting after two surgeries and months without sight, You know her need for balance to walk and her desire to use her hands again to sew blankets for Your church and for needy families. We ask You to touch the tissues, the nerves, the lens and every part of her eye that needs restoration. Flood her with Your Holy Spirit, the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead, and let Your healing virtue flow through her. We ask You to grant wisdom and skill to her doctors, to guide their hands and decisions, and to give them clarity about what is best for her. If it be Your will, we ask for a complete and miraculous restoration of her sight, that she may see clearly with both eyes as You gave her at birth. Give her and her husband Your peace that passes all understanding, strengthen their faith while they wait, and help them to trust in Your perfect love and timing even as they continue to cry out to You. We thank You that You hear us when we pray in Jesus name, and we give You all the praise and glory for what You will do. Amen.

We encourage you both to continue to hope in the Lord and not grow weary in prayer. Continue to seek wise medical counsel while also trusting the Great Physician above all. Even as you wait, lean on His promise in Isaiah 41:10 Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. And remember Romans 8:28 that God works all things together for good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose.

We thank you for praying so faithfully in the name of Jesus Christ, for as it is written in John 14:6 Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me and in Acts 4:12 There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved. Your faith in calling upon His name gives us great joy.

We will continue to stand with you, asking God to restore her sight completely, to renew her strength, and to allow her to again use her gifted hands for His glory, and we trust His perfect will to be done in her life.

We have been praying with you for your wife, and we hear how heavy this waiting has been. To love someone through cataract surgery, then a second surgery months later, and still see her unable to see from her left eye is heartbreaking, especially when the doctors can only say it may return or it may not. We hear your cry for her and your care for every part of her life, her balance and safety when she walks, and the meaningful work she did sewing blankets for the church and for families in need. Losing that ability is a real loss, and it makes sense you are bringing it all to the Lord.

Alongside prayer, we encourage you to stay closely connected with her eye care team and keep bringing your questions and observations to them at each visit. It can help to write down any changes, concerns about balance or daily tasks, and questions you want to ask, and to bring a trusted family member or friend to help listen and take notes. If walking feels unsteady, let her doctors know and ask what practical supports might help keep her safe at home. You do not have to carry this alone, and inviting your church community to come alongside you both in practical ways during this uncertain time can be a real strength.

Father, we lift this precious wife and her husband to You in Jesus name. You know her, You formed her, and You see all she is facing each day. We ask for Your mercy and healing according to Your will, for wisdom for her doctors, for Your peace to guard them in this waiting, and for daily strength and encouragement. Surround them with Your presence and with caring support. Amen.

Your cry on behalf of your dear wife has been heard and we have carried it with you to the throne of grace. The Lord has indeed promised to hear when His people cry, and you have done well to come to Him in the name of Jesus Christ, for there is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved, and no other way of access to the Father.

We are moved by your love for her, and by the trial she has borne through these many months of darkness in the eye, after the hope of the surgeries. To need sight for the simple mercies of walking in balance, and to have served the Lord and His church and the needy with her hands in sewing blankets, and now to be hindered, is a heavy burden. The Lord sees it all. He who formed her inward parts, who brought her into this world, knows her frame and numbers her days, and not a tear falls without His notice.

Take comfort that faith is a most practical principle, and its essence lies in dropping down into the arms of Christ. You have heard the gospel and believed that it comes from God, and now you trust Him with this affliction. Remember that little faith is still true faith. It is the gift of God, like precious faith, though it be but as a grain of mustard seed. It obeys the precept and will not go a step without His bidding, and it cries, Lord, bid me come. He tenderly commends even that trembling faith, for the least faith in Jesus belongs to the family of the saved. If you have faith enough to wait upon Him, clinging and abiding in its place, He will not despise it.

There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ. Not only is His fruit sweet and nourishing, but the very leaves of the tree are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing. Pluck a leaf of this tree by your poor trembling faith and it shall make you whole as He wills. Pardon and healing are placed in happy conjunction. When Jesus healed, He said, Son, be of good cheer, your sins are forgiven you. We pray first that you both know that perfect peace and rest which He gives to the heart through forgiveness by His blood, for that is the greater healing, and from a pardoning God all other mercies flow.

We join you now in prayer. O King of Glory, You who by Your Spirit brought Jesus back to life, with whom nothing is impossible, look in mercy upon this dear sister. You have waited to be gracious to Your people, and Your people wait upon You in hope, not in despair. We ask, if it be Your gracious will, that You would restore her eyesight completely, that the left eye which has been dark for so long would see again clearly. Touch, we pray, that which the hand of the physician could not mend. Give wisdom to those who have cared for her, and grant her and her husband patience in this waiting, and peace as a river while they wait. And whether You restore sight in this life as in former days, or sustain her with Your presence through the trial, make her whole in Your sight, and keep her heart stayed upon You. Let her yet know Your comfort and, if it please You, let her hands again be employed in works of love for Your sake.

Continue to wait upon Him patiently. They that wait upon the Lord shall not be put to shame. He is within eyesight. Look to Him, and your eyes shall meet His eyes, for already He looks upon you. May He give you that blessed faith which can say, Wash me and I shall be whiter than snow, and may that faith bring you both to perfect rest in Christ.

We will continue to remember you both before the Lord.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We have heard your cry for your wife and we join you in bringing her before the Lord with love and compassion. To see a loved one suffer with loss of sight after surgery, to wait months with uncertainty, and to watch her unable to do the good work she loves, like sewing blankets for the church and for families in need, is a heavy burden. It is right that you have cried out to the King of Glory, for He hears the voice of His people.

We pray with you to our Father in the name of Jesus Christ alone, for there is no other name by which we are saved and no other mediator by whom we come to God. We thank Him that He formed her inward parts and knows her completely, and we ask Him to show His mercy and power in her body. We ask that if it is His will, He would restore the sight in her left eye fully, heal what the doctors cannot heal, and make her whole again. We know that the same Spirit who raised Jesus from the dead is able to do what is impossible for man, and nothing is too hard for Him.

We also pray for her strength and peace while she waits, and for yours as you care for her. We ask the Lord to give her balance and safety as she walks, to guard her from fear and discouragement, and to comfort her with His presence each day. We pray for wisdom for her doctors, that they would have clarity and skill in all they do.

Even as we ask earnestly for healing, we trust the Lord's wisdom and love, whether He brings healing now, over time, or in ways we do not yet see. He promises to hear when we cry and to work all things for the good of those who love Him. Continue to seek Him daily, to bring every need to Him in prayer, and to rest in His grace and forgiveness through Christ.

We will keep praying with you for her complete healing and restoration, and that whether through restored sight or through His sustaining grace, her life would continue to bear witness to the goodness of Jesus Christ. May the Lord fill your home with His peace and remind you both that you are held in His hands.
