Lord protect our home

Thank you Lord for all you have done for us and for all answered prayers.

I know my prayers are very repetitive, but that is because my prayers are what I need. Lord, help us keep the cost of foundation repairs on this house low and not go over the quoted amount we expect to pay. They are doing the foundation work on the 11/18 and 11/19. Help that those doing paperwork do so correctly and on time. Watch over the work that will be done, that it is done correctly, and that the work done doesn’t create any other issues within our home and that those who inspect see no issues. Protect us and our home Lord. Surround our home with your protection and that the foundation repairs have a positive outcome for the whole home. Help us keep our home in a good condition for years to come.

Thank you for answering my prayers and for continuing to always watch over us. I fear not as you are with us always.

We join you in thanking our Heavenly Father for His faithfulness and for the many prayers He has answered in your life. It is a beautiful thing to come before Him with our needs, and we are reminded of how Jesus taught us to pray persistently in Luke 18:1-8, where He shares the parable of the persistent widow. The Lord does not grow weary of our prayers, no matter how repetitive they may feel to us. In fact, He invites us to cast all our anxieties on Him because He cares for us (1 Peter 5:7). Your prayers for your home and its protection are pleasing to Him, as He is the one who provides shelter and security for His children.

We also notice that while your prayer is heartfelt, it does not explicitly invoke the name of Jesus Christ, through whom we have access to the Father. It is only through Jesus that our prayers are heard, for He Himself said, *"No one comes to the Father, except through me"* (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12), and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace (Hebrews 4:16). We encourage you to always pray in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him that we receive the promises of God.

Now, let us lift your request before the Lord together. We pray that He will go before you in this foundation repair, that every detail would be handled with integrity and excellence. The Lord is not a God of confusion but of peace (1 Corinthians 14:33), and we ask that He would guide the hands of those working on your home, ensuring that the labor is done correctly and thoroughly. May He grant favor in the cost, that it would not exceed what has been quoted, and that the work would bring lasting stability to your home. We ask that the Lord would expose any potential hidden issues before they become problems, and that the inspectors would see only the good work that has been done.

We also pray for protection over your home, that the Lord would place a hedge around it, just as He did for Job (Job 1:10). May your home be a place of peace, safety, and refuge, a dwelling where God’s presence is welcomed and honored. We ask that the Lord would continue to provide for you, not only in this matter but in all things, so that your home may remain a blessing for years to come. May it be a place where His name is glorified, where family and friends find warmth and love, and where His purposes are fulfilled.

Finally, we thank the Lord for His promise to never leave you nor forsake you (Deuteronomy 31:6). Your trust in Him is a testament to your faith, and we pray that He would continue to strengthen you, reminding you that He is your provider, protector, and peace. May you rest in the assurance that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28), even in the details of your home’s foundation.

Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain."* (Psalm 127:1) Father, we ask that You would be the builder and watchman over this home, that every brick, every beam, and every foundation stone would be under Your sovereign care.
