We come before the throne of grace with your heartfelt plea, lifting up your marriage in earnest prayer. Heavenly Father, we stand in agreement with this brother or sister in Christ, asking for Your divine protection over their marriage. We declare that no weapon formed against it shall prosper, and every tongue that rises against it in judgment shall be condemned, for this is the heritage of the servants of the Lord (Isaiah 54:17).
Lord, we pray for a hedge of protection around this marriage, a wall of fire as You promised in Zechariah 2:5, "For I,’ says Yahweh, ‘will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the middle of her.’" Let Your holy angels encamp around this union, guarding it from all harm and evil influences. We rebuke every spirit of division, strife, and discord in the name of Jesus Christ. We command every evil spirit that seeks to sow discord or hatred between this husband and wife to flee now, for it is written, "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you" (James 4:7).
Father, we ask that You shut the mouths of those who would speak ill against this marriage, just as You shut the mouths of the lions for Daniel (Daniel 6:22). Let there be peace and unity between this husband and wife. Soften their hearts toward one another, Lord, and fill them with Your love, compassion, and understanding. May they be quick to listen, slow to speak, and slow to become angry (James 1:19). We pray that You would restore any broken trust, heal any wounds, and renew their commitment to one another and to You.
We plead the blood of Jesus Christ over this marriage, for it is by His blood that we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins (Ephesians 1:7). We declare that no witchcraft, generational curse, or evil spirit has any power or authority over this marriage, for "the Son of God came to destroy the works of the devil" (1 John 3:8). We draw a bloodline in the name of Jesus Christ, declaring that every evil spirit that would seek to attack this marriage is bound and rendered powerless.
Lord, we ask that You make a way where there seems to be no way. Open doors that no man can shut, and close doors that no man can open (Revelation 3:7). Provide wisdom, guidance, and strength for this couple as they navigate the challenges they face. Remind them that with You, all things are possible (Matthew 19:26).
We encourage this dear one to continue standing firm in faith, trusting in the Lord with all their heart and leaning not on their own understanding (Proverbs 3:5). Let them be strong and courageous, not fearing or being dismayed, for the Lord their God is with them wherever they go (Joshua 1:9). May they find comfort and strength in Your Word, and may their marriage be a testament to Your love, grace, and faithfulness.
Heavenly Father, we also lift up any children that may be in this family. Protect their hearts and minds, and let them see the love of Christ reflected in their parents. May this family be a light in their community, drawing others to You through their love and unity.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). Amen.
