Lord I give this relationship to you. Please Lord let my husband realize that he was wrong and that he went astray to be with that other woman. Lord let him realize in his everyday life that he knows he is wrong and needs to come home where he belongs. Lord let the woman he's with realize also the same thing. Lord I pray that you bring him back to my life. Lord give me strength, I give this situation to you to carry.
I posted this response to your previous prayer request and am reposting with this truth. When we come to the place of 'needing' another person in our life, for instance, my husband says, be careful, I need you. He is setting me up to fail him and disappoint him. Really, think about it. But if we simply love our spouse and see them through the eyes of the love of God, we get a whole different perspective. What I am saying is, instead of seeing your husband failing you, see his need for a revelation of the love of God, because if he had that and grew in that love, he would never disappoint you, because love doesn't disappoint. Be encouraged.
Father, I thank you for being Redeemer and Restorer. Your heart is for all men to come to the knowledge of the truth. We were separated by sin, but Jesus has come and redeemed us from darkness and back into the kingdom of light! I thank you that in your kingdom there is nothing missing, nothing broken...and as born again, children of God, we live from that place of righteousness, peace and joy in the Holy Ghost. Thank you for sending us the Helper, our Counselor, who brings things to our remembrance and shows us things to come, who teaches us and reveals to us the truth of your word.
Just as you have set forth marriage as a covenant, I ask you bring to this husban'd remembrance what drew him to his wife in the first place, that those things about his wife that he so loves would prick his conscious and realize that with you, even what seems to him a 'dead' marriage can come back to life, so I declare that this marriage shall not die but live and declare the works of the Lord. Touch this woman's heart with a desire to even change the way she sees life and how she views marriage. It's not needing someone cause when we do that, we give them place to fail and we become disappointment, but to see each one through eyes of your love and forgiveness, cause that's who we are now! So I bless this marriage with renewal and even their walk with you will be stronger and firmer as they establish themselves on the Rock of their salvation, Jesus...our foundation of faith.
