Your prayer has been heard and we bring it before the Lord with you, entreating Him in the mighty name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
We are grieved to hear of the heaviness that has come upon you, the fog upon the mind and the weariness of the body as you face great tasks at your labour. Yet we take comfort that the Lord has looked down from the height of His sanctuary, from heaven He beholds the earth to hear the groaning of the prisoner. Though you feel fettered and unable to escape from this prison of weariness, your groaning has come up before Him who resolves to set His people free. He who is excellent in working will be your assistance. Sit awhile at the Master's feet as Mary did, and then go forth to your work as a son in the Father's vineyard, not as a slave for wages, but as one who works from life because he is already saved. Faith goes forward in the name of God and the gates of iron open to her through divine strength. We pray that He will grant you clear thought and bodily strength tonight, that you may do your work faithfully and find that God has wrought for you.
Concerning your relatives who love the occult and seek to curse your life, be not dismayed. We perceive both the secondary hand that thrusts sorely at you that you might fall, and the Father's hand above it all. No curse of man can stand against those who are in Christ, for Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us. It is written, Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree, that the blessing might come upon us through faith. The Lord has found a ransom, He has given commandment to deliver His people from going down to the pit, to save from sin and from Satan and from every attack of the enemy. He has delivered us from the power of darkness and translated us into the kingdom of His dear Son. That deliverance is as much the work of God as deliverance from guilt, and we must look to our heavenly Father altogether and alone for it. If He has delivered you from the tremendous power of sin, He will certainly deliver you from this present assault and from every evil company.
May your faith be constantly renewed and strengthened. Faith always looks to Christ, and Christ always looks to faith. He delights to be trusted. It is through the Spirit that we wait for the hope of righteousness by faith, for the new heart which the Spirit creates is the only soil in which faith will grow. We pray that the Holy Spirit will daily feed your faith at the table of Jesus, that your heart may be fixed, saying with the Psalmist, My heart is fixed, O God, my heart is fixed, I will sing and give praise. Let your faith speak, for the more talk we get from the mouth of faith the better, and a silent faith robs God of His glory. When you are tried, may you meet trouble with brave thoughts and speeches, knowing that each day gives more reasons for faith and fewer excuses for doubt.
Let us pray with you. O Lord our God, look in pity upon this Your servant who is weary and heavy laden. Grant clearness of mind and strength of body to complete the work set before him this night, for Your glory. Deliver him from the power of darkness and from every curse spoken against him, for You have found a ransom in the blood of Your Son who was made a curse for us. Loose him from every chain, keep him from going down to the pit, and let him know that no weapon formed against him shall prosper while he abides in Christ. Through Your Spirit renew his faith day by day, that he may look to Jesus alone and find Him looking upon his faith with delight. Keep him fixed and steadfast, and give him to sing of Your deliverance, through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
