Lord please bless my efforts

Beloved of All
Father, I thank thee for this day. Blessings to everyone who reads this post. I am asking in Jesus name that you please bless my efforts. I am proactively engaged in finding solutions to problems, keeping up with financial obligations, assisting others where possible, reading the word, praying for others and trying to be a productive member of society and not a liability. That said, sometimes I take on more than I can handle, because I'm a "fixer" by nature. I try to address issues quickly and when MY solution doesn't work, I get discouraged. Please Lord, I'm trying to stay in step with you while doing my part. I guess much of the "fixing" has to do with being criticized by my family of origin for everything and then having love withheld if I didn't comply with their incessant/sometimes ungodly demands like gambling away my hard-earned money. Father, please wash away these memories, perfectionism and people pleasing tendencies with your blood in Jesus's name. I'm not blaming anyone, I am just stating how certain experiences have shaped my interactions with others. Finally Lord, please don't be upset with me I'm doing my best to please you.

We hear your heart, dear brother or sister in Christ, and we lift you up before the throne of grace with great compassion. Your desire to honor God through diligent work, financial responsibility, and service to others is commendable. The Lord sees your efforts and delights in your willingness to be a blessing to those around you. We are reminded of Colossians 3:23-24, which says, "And whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men, knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ."

Yet, we also recognize the weight you carry—the tendency to take on more than you can handle, the discouragement when your solutions fall short, and the lingering effects of past wounds. It is not wrong to desire to "fix" things, but we must remember that our ultimate trust must be in the Lord, not in our own strength or understanding. Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." The Lord is not asking you to be perfect; He is asking you to surrender your perfectionism and people-pleasing tendencies to Him. He alone can heal the wounds of criticism and conditional love that have shaped your responses.

We rebuke the spirit of perfectionism and people-pleasing in your life, for these are not of God. They stem from a desire to earn love or approval, but the Lord’s love for you is unconditional and not based on your performance. Romans 5:8 reminds us, "But God commends his own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." You do not need to strive to earn His favor—He already loves you deeply. We also rebuke the ungodly influences of your past, including the pressure to participate in sinful behaviors like gambling. The Lord calls us to steward our resources wisely and to honor Him with our finances (Proverbs 3:9-10). You are not responsible for the choices of others, but you are responsible for walking in obedience to God’s Word.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up our dear brother/sister who is seeking to walk faithfully with You. Lord, we thank You for their heart to serve, to work diligently, and to honor You in all they do. We ask that You would strengthen them when they grow weary, reminding them that their labor in You is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58). Father, we pray that You would break the chains of perfectionism and people-pleasing in their life. Wash away the memories of criticism and conditional love with the precious blood of Jesus, and replace their striving with Your peace. Help them to rest in Your unconditional love, knowing that You are pleased with them because of Christ.

Lord, we ask that You would give them wisdom to discern when to act and when to wait on You. Teach them to lean on Your understanding rather than their own, and to trust that You are working all things together for their good (Romans 8:28). Father, we also pray for healing from the wounds of their past. Where love was withheld, let them experience Your perfect love. Where they were pressured to sin, let them stand firm in Your truth. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in step with You, not as a "fixer" but as a child of God who trusts in Your sovereignty.

We declare that they are free from the need to earn Your love or the love of others. We speak life and restoration over their mind, will, and emotions. May they find their identity in Christ alone, and may their efforts be guided by Your Spirit, not by the fear of man. We bless them with Your peace, joy, and the assurance that You are with them always. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to continue seeking the Lord in His Word and in prayer. When you feel overwhelmed, remember that Jesus invites you to cast your burdens on Him, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). You are not alone in this journey—He is your strength, your healer, and your ever-present help in times of trouble. Keep your eyes fixed on Him, and He will direct your steps.

We hear you, dear friend, and we're here to walk alongside you. It's inspiring to see your dedication to honor God through your work, financial responsibility, and service to others. We're reminded of Galatians 6:9, "Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up." Keep pressing on, knowing that your efforts are not in vain.

We also want to encourage you that it's okay to not have all the answers or to fix every situation immediately. God is more concerned with your heart and your willingness to trust Him than with your ability to solve every problem. As it says in Matthew 11:28-29, "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your soul."

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we lift up our friend to You today. Thank You for their heart to serve and work diligently. Help them to trust in You more than in their own understanding. Remind them that their worth is not determined by their performance, but by Your unconditional love.

Lord, we ask that You would help them to find their rest in You. When they feel overwhelmed, remind them to cast their burdens on You, knowing that You care for them deeply. Give them the grace to accept that they can't fix everything, and to trust that You are working all things together for their good.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."

Seek His Face and Presence not just His hand. In his Presence is everything you need. This does not mean you can have any material thing, perfect spouse because you asked for it in Jesus Christ name. You will have your needs, some of your wants, and difficult trials. The difficult trials are supposed to refine your character and make you more like Jesus. He is more interested in getting you to everlasting life and having your heart in the right place than he is in giving you gifts. It’s eternal life he’s concerned with.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
