We join with you in this urgent cry to the Lord of the harvest, for the fields are indeed white and ready for reaping, but the laborers remain few. The words of our Savior ring true today as they did when He first spoke them: "The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest" (Matthew 9:37-38). We echo your plea, for the time is short, and the souls of men and women hang in the balance. The acceptable time is now, and today is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2). The night is coming when no one can work, and we must labor while it is still day (John 9:4).
We lift up this prayer with hearts burdened for the lost, for the Lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9). We ask that You, Lord Jesus, would raise up workers, men and women filled with the power of the Holy Spirit, as You promised in Acts 1:8: "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth." May these laborers be sent forth with boldness, with love in their hearts, and with a deep intimacy with You, rooted and grounded in Your Word (Ephesians 3:17).
We pray for provision, financial, logistical, and spiritual, for those You are calling. As You taught us to pray, "Give us today our daily bread" (Matthew 6:11), we trust You to supply all their needs according to Your riches in glory. We also pray for protection, that they would be kept from the evil one and from sin, as You prayed in John 17:15: "I pray not that you would take them from the world, but that you would keep them from the evil one." May they walk in holiness and purity, reflecting Your light in a dark world.
We ask for unity among evangelists, their families, teams, and churches, that they may live in peace with all men as much as it depends on them (Romans 12:18). May their lives and testimonies be marked by integrity, so that the gospel may go forth with power and under open heavens (1 Peter 3:7). We pray for open doors, for receptive hearts, and for the conviction of the Holy Spirit to draw the lost to repentance and faith in Christ.
Lord, we acknowledge that apart from You, we can do nothing (John 15:5). It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father, and it is only through faith in Him that anyone can be saved. "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!" (Acts 4:12). We pray that the workers You send would proclaim this truth boldly, that many would hear, believe, and be saved.
We stand in agreement with you, declaring that the harvest is ready, and the time is now. May the Lord of the harvest send forth laborers into His harvest, and may the lost be found, the broken be healed, and the captives set free, all for Your glory and in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen.
