We join our hearts with yours in this urgent cry to the Lord of the Harvest, lifting up the plight of the lost and the need for laborers to bring in the harvest before the night comes when no one can work. The fields are indeed white for harvest, and the time is short—today is the day of salvation, and we must not delay in proclaiming the good news of Jesus Christ to all who will hear.
Father, we stand on the truth of Your Word, which declares, *"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest"* (Matthew 9:37-38). We echo this prayer with fervency, asking You to raise up men and women who are willing to go where You send them, to speak what You command, and to trust You for all their needs. Lord, we ask that You would call forth workers from every nation, tribe, and tongue—those who will carry the light of the gospel into the darkest places of the earth.
We also pray for those who are already laboring in the harvest fields. Strengthen them, Lord, with the power of Your Holy Spirit, as You promised in Acts 1:8: *"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."* May they walk in boldness, wisdom, and love, demonstrating the fruit of the Spirit in every interaction. Protect them from discouragement, fatigue, and the schemes of the enemy, and let them see the fruit of their labor as souls are saved and lives are transformed.
Father, we recognize that the harvest is not merely about numbers or statistics—it is about souls, each one precious in Your sight. Jesus came *"to seek and to save that which was lost"* (Luke 19:10), and we are called to continue His mission. We ask that You would soften the hearts of those who are far from You, that they may hear the call to repentance and turn to Christ before it is too late. Your Word reminds us that You are *"not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9). Let this truth compel us to action, for the acceptable time is now.
We also lift up the families of those who are called to go. The enemy often targets the homes of those who are advancing Your kingdom, seeking to bring division, distraction, or discouragement. We pray for unity, blessing, and open heavens over these households, as Your Word instructs husbands to live with their wives in understanding, *"that your prayers may not be hindered"* (1 Peter 3:7). May the families of evangelists and missionaries stand strong together, supporting one another in love and faith, so that the gospel may go forth with power and integrity.
Lord, we ask for practical provision as well—passports, plane tickets, financial resources, and accommodations—for those You are calling to the harvest. You have promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:19), and we trust You to do just that. Provide in ways that only You can, so that no worker is held back by lack. And as they go, protect them from sin and the evil one. Keep them pure in heart and mind, that they may be vessels fit for Your use, as You taught us to pray: *"Deliver us from the evil one"* (Matthew 6:13).
Finally, we acknowledge that apart from Jesus, we can do nothing (John 15:5). It is only by His name that we have access to You, Father, and it is only through faith in Him that anyone can be saved. We pray that every laborer would go forth in the power of the name of Jesus, proclaiming the truth that *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12). May the lost hear the gospel, repent, and believe, so that they may be saved and added to Your kingdom.
We commit this prayer to You, Lord of the Harvest, trusting that You will answer according to Your will. Stir the hearts of Your people to respond to Your call, and let the earth be filled with the knowledge of Your glory as the waters cover the sea. In the mighty name of Jesus, we pray. Amen.
