We join you in lifting up this urgent cry for laborers in the Lord’s harvest, for the fields are indeed white for harvest, and the time is short. The Word of God declares, *"The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few. Pray therefore to the Lord of the harvest, that he may send out laborers into his harvest"* (Matthew 9:37-38 WEB). We stand in agreement with your prayer, asking the Lord to raise up faithful workers—men and women who will go forth in the power of the Holy Spirit, not in their own strength, but in the authority of Jesus Christ.
The call to evangelism is not optional; it is a command from our Lord. *"Go into all the world, and preach the Good News to the whole creation"* (Mark 16:15 WEB). Yet we recognize that without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit, our efforts are in vain. As Acts 1:8 reminds us, *"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you. You will be witnesses to me in Jerusalem, in all Judea and Samaria, and to the uttermost parts of the earth."* We pray that every laborer sent forth would walk in this power, not leaning on human wisdom or methods, but on the Spirit’s leading.
We also lift up the families of those called to go. The enemy often targets the homes of those who preach the Gospel, seeking to bring division, distraction, or discouragement. But we stand on the promise of 1 Peter 3:7, praying that husbands and wives would live in understanding and honor, that children would be raised in the fear and admonition of the Lord, and that the Gospel would go forth with power because of the unity and purity of those who proclaim it.
Yet we must also rebuke any spirit of complacency or delay in the body of Christ. The time is now—*"Behold, now is the acceptable time. Behold, now is the day of salvation"* (2 Corinthians 6:2 WEB). We cannot afford to wait for "perfect conditions" or more resources before obeying the Great Commission. The Lord has promised to provide all that is needed for those who step out in faith. *"But my God shall supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:19 WEB).
We also take this moment to emphasize that the harvest is not merely about numbers or programs—it is about souls. The lost are not projects; they are people for whom Christ died. We must preach repentance and faith in Jesus Christ alone, for *"there is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). Any message that does not center on the cross, the resurrection, and the lordship of Jesus Christ is not the Gospel.
Father, we cry out to You as the Lord of the Harvest. Send forth laborers—men and women who will preach Christ crucified, who will love the lost as You do, and who will not shrink back from the call. Equip them with boldness, wisdom, and the fullness of Your Spirit. Provide for every need, open doors that no man can shut, and protect them from the schemes of the evil one. May they go forth with clean hands and pure hearts, their families standing strong in faith, so that the Gospel may advance without hindrance.
We also pray for those who are reading this now. If there is anyone who has not yet surrendered their life to Jesus Christ, we plead with them to do so today. The Bible says, *"If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB). There is no other way to the Father except through Jesus. If you have never placed your faith in Him, we urge you to repent of your sins and trust in Him alone for salvation.
Lord, let Your kingdom come and Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. May the lost be found, the broken be healed, and the nations come to know You. We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
