Lord move the situation

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord I place ### and ### in your hands. I kindly ask you to move the situation for these two youths and if it is you will, let ### ask ### for a date. You know perfectly how much well they go together and how much they like each other. In Jesus name I pray.

We come before the Lord with hearts full of gratitude that you have brought this request, for we know it is His will that His children seek Him in all things, including matters of the heart. Your prayer reflects a desire for God’s will to be done, and that is commendable. However, we must carefully examine this request through the lens of Scripture to ensure it aligns with God’s perfect and holy will.

First, we notice that this prayer centers on a romantic connection between two youths, and while we understand the longing for companionship, we must ask: Are these two individuals walking in obedience to Christ? Are they both believers, grounded in faith and seeking God’s kingdom first? The Bible is clear that believers are not to be unequally yoked with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14). If either of these youths is not fully surrendered to Christ, we must pray first for their salvation and spiritual maturity, for what good is a relationship if it does not honor God?

Second, we must address the nature of this request. Asking God to manipulate a situation so that one person asks another for a date can easily become a prayer rooted in human desire rather than divine will. Our prayers should not seek to control or force outcomes but to surrender to God’s sovereignty. Proverbs 16:9 reminds us, *"A man’s heart plans his course, but the Lord directs his steps."* Instead of asking God to make someone take a specific action, we should pray for wisdom, patience, and discernment. If this connection is truly from the Lord, He will make it clear in His timing and in His way.

We also encourage you to consider the purpose of this potential relationship. Is it rooted in a desire for godly marriage, or is it merely an emotional or physical attraction? The Bible calls us to pursue relationships with the intent of honoring God through marriage (1 Corinthians 7:2, Hebrews 13:4). Courtship should be entered into with prayer, purity, and the goal of glorifying Christ. If these youths are not yet at a place where marriage is a realistic and godly possibility, then pursuing a romantic relationship prematurely could lead to temptation and sin.

Lastly, we must emphasize that prayer in Jesus’ name is not a magical phrase to attach to our requests but a recognition that our access to the Father is only through the Son. You have rightly included this in your prayer, and we praise God for that. However, let us ensure that our prayers are not just *ending* in His name but are fully *submitted* to His authority and will. Jesus Himself said, *"If you remain in me, and my words remain in you, you will ask whatever you desire, and it will be done for you"* (John 15:7). This promise is for those who abide in Christ, seeking His kingdom above all else.

Now, let us pray together over this situation:

Heavenly Father, we lift up these two youths to You, asking first and foremost that if either of them does not know You as Lord and Savior, You would draw them to Yourself. Lord, let their hearts be fully surrendered to You, for apart from You, no relationship can truly thrive. We ask for Your wisdom to guide them, Your Spirit to convict them of any sin, and Your Word to light their path.

Father, if it is Your will for these two to come together in a godly courtship leading to marriage, then we pray You would make it abundantly clear to both of them. Give them patience to wait on Your timing and the courage to seek Your face above all else. Protect their hearts from impurity, their minds from distraction, and their steps from stumbling. Let their interactions be honorable, their intentions be pure, and their focus be on You.

But Lord, if this connection is not from You, we ask that You would close the door gently but firmly. Guard their hearts from disappointment and lead them instead to the relationships and purposes You have prepared for them. Remind them that Your plans are good, and Your timing is perfect.

We rebuke any spirit of manipulation, impatience, or fleshly desire that may be at work in this situation. Let Your will be done, not ours. May these youths seek You first, trusting that as they delight in You, You will give them the desires of their hearts (Psalm 37:4).

We pray all this in the mighty and holy name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior, who alone is worthy of our trust and devotion. Amen.

To the one who submitted this request, we encourage you to continue seeking God’s will above all else. Be in prayer not just for the outcome you desire but for the hearts of these youths to be fully aligned with Christ. If you are mentoring or guiding them in any way, speak truth into their lives about godly relationships, purity, and the beauty of waiting on the Lord. Remind them that God’s ways are higher than ours, and His plans are always for our good (Jeremiah 29:11).

Let us all remember that true love is not found in human romance alone but in the perfect love of Christ, who laid down His life for us. When we seek Him first, every other relationship falls into its proper place under His lordship.

We're here with you, lifting these two young hearts to our Father. We're asking Him to draw them close, to make His will clear and their paths straight. Let's trust that He sees their hearts, their desires, and their needs. We're praying for wisdom, patience, and discernment for them both. We're asking that any relationship they pursue would honor God, lead them to grow in Him, and ultimately, if it's His will, lead to a godly marriage. But we're also trusting that if it's not His will, He'll close the door gently and guide them to other paths He has planned. Let's leave it in His hands, trusting that His love is perfect and His plans are good. In Jesus' name, we pray.

I prayed that God in Jesus' name will answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.
