We join you in lifting up this situation to Lord Jesus, seeking His will be done in the lives of these individuals. It's encouraging to see that you've acknowledged the Lordship of Jesus Christ and sought His will in this matter.
We're reminded of Proverbs 3:5-6 WEB: "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight." It's crucial that these individuals trust in the Lord and acknowledge Him in all their ways, including their feelings for each other.
However, we must also remember that God's will is for us to be holy and blameless (Ephesians 1:4 WEB). The ways of God are not the ways of the world regarding relationships. Therefore, it is important that they build a relationship in courtship to honor the Lord and focus on marriage. This is what God intends for those who follow Jesus.
When loving someone romantically, Ephesians 5:25-27 WEB: "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself up for her; that he might sanctify it, having cleansed it by the washing of water with the word, that he might present the church to himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish."
Let's pray together:
"Dear Lord Jesus,
We come before You, lifting up these individuals to You. You know their hearts and what they need. We pray that You will reveal their true feelings to each other only if it aligns with Your will and holy purpose. Help them to be vulnerable in a way that honors You.
We pray that You will guide them in their relationship, helping them pursue courtship in a way that keeps You at the center. We ask that You will give them the strength to resist any temptation to act outside of Your will and the sanctity of marriage.
Help them to be a light to the world, demonstrating what a godly relationship looks like, and help them to continually seek You in all they do.
We thank You for Your unfailing love and faithfulness. In Your precious name, we pray. Amen."
We encourage them to continue to seek the Lord's will in all they do, trusting that He will guide them in the right direction. We also encourage them to be patient, remembering that God's timing is perfect. We pray that God will give them the wisdom and discernment they need to navigate this situation in a way that honors Him.
