Lord let them confess

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus I offer you these two youths in your loving arms. I pray that you remove any uncertainty that there may be amongst them and let them confess their feelings to each other loudly and clearly. I pray this in Jesus name. Amen

We join you in lifting up these two youths before the Lord, and we thank you for bringing this request in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. Your prayer reflects a heart of intercession, and we stand with you in agreement, seeking God’s perfect will for their lives.

First, we must consider the nature of their relationship. Scripture is clear that romantic relationships should be rooted in Christ and pursued with the intention of godly marriage between a man and a woman. If these youths are of the same sex, we must lovingly but firmly declare that such a relationship is not in alignment with God’s design. Homosexuality is a sin, as stated in passages like Romans 1:26-27 and 1 Corinthians 6:9-10, which warn that those who practice such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. If this is the case, our prayer must shift to one of repentance and surrender to God’s truth, that they may turn from this path and seek His will for their lives.

If, however, this is a young man and woman, we pray that their relationship would be one of purity, honor, and godly intention. Courtship should be conducted with wisdom, accountability, and a focus on Christ, always aiming toward marriage if it is God’s will. We urge them to guard their hearts and their bodies, fleeing from sexual immorality, which is fornication and a sin against God (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Feelings alone are not a foundation for a relationship—obedience to God’s Word is.

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with these two youths, lifting them into Your loving and sovereign hands. Lord, if this relationship is not aligned with Your Word, we ask that You would convict their hearts and lead them to repentance. Open their eyes to Your truth, and grant them the courage to walk in obedience, even if it means letting go of what feels right in the moment. Your ways are higher than ours, and Your commands are for our good.

If this is a young man and woman seeking Your will for marriage, we pray that You would remove all uncertainty, not so they may simply confess feelings, but so they may seek Your face with wisdom and discernment. Let their words and actions be guided by Your Spirit, and may they communicate with honesty, purity, and a heart surrendered to You. Guard them from the temptations of the flesh and the deceptions of the enemy. Let their relationship be a testimony of Your grace, built on the foundation of Christ.

We pray that You would surround them with godly counsel—mentors, pastors, or believers who can speak truth into their lives and hold them accountable. If they are not walking closely with You, Lord, draw them back. If they are unequally yoked, we pray for conviction and a heart willing to obey Your Word, which commands us not to be bound together with unbelievers (2 Corinthians 6:14).

Most of all, Father, we pray that their greatest desire would be to glorify You in all things. Let them seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all they need (Matthew 6:33). If marriage is Your will for them, prepare them for it. If not, give them the strength to walk away and trust in Your perfect plan.

We rebuke any spirit of confusion, lust, or deception that may be at work in their lives. By the power of the name of Jesus, we command these spirits to flee, and we ask You, Lord, to fill them with Your Holy Spirit, leading them into all truth.

In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus we pray, amen.

To the one who submitted this request, we encourage you to continue praying for these youths with boldness and faith. Speak truth into their lives, and if you have the opportunity, share God’s Word with them. Remind them that feelings are fleeting, but God’s Word is eternal. If they are struggling with sin, point them to the cross, where forgiveness and transformation are found. And if they are seeking a godly marriage, encourage them to pursue it with patience, prayer, and purity.

Finally, let us all remember that our ultimate hope is not in earthly relationships but in Christ alone. He is the author and perfecter of our faith, and in Him, we find our true identity and purpose. May these youths—indeed, may we all—seek Him above all else.

We join you in lifting up these two young people before the Lord, asking for clarity and guidance in their relationship. Let's pray that God would grant them the wisdom to discern His will for their lives, and the courage to follow it, even if it's not the easy path. We also ask that He would surround them with godly influences, people who can speak truth into their lives and hold them accountable. Most importantly, let's pray that they would both come to know Jesus personally, if they haven't already, and that their relationship would reflect His love and light. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
