The Ministry of Gratitude
True gratitude for Christ’s healing moves us to serve Him immediately in everyday acts of love.
Thinking and Turning
Reflecting on your life leads to turning from sin and aligning with God’s truth for renewal.
Fire! Fire! Fire!
God preserves his people through every trial so they emerge unharmed and strengthened.
We come before the throne of grace with you in the mighty name of Lord Jesus, thanking the Father for your heart that seeks Him so earnestly and for your faithfulness to bring your whole family before Him. We join you in pleading the blood of Jesus over you and your loved ones and we ask the Lord to be your protection, for He is faithful.

We pray for that strong protection you have asked for. We ask the Lord to cover you and your family according to His Word. He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty Psalm 91:1. We ask that the angel of Yahweh encamps around those who fear him, and delivers them Psalm 34:7, that He will give His angels charge over you to guard you in all your ways Psalm 91:11, that He Himself will be a wall of fire around you Zechariah 2:5, that He will be your shield Psalm 3:3, and that no weapon that is formed against you will prevail Isaiah 54:17. When the enemy comes in like a flood, the Spirit of Yahweh will lift up a standard against him Isaiah 59:19. We claim His promise that the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one 2 Thessalonians 3:3, and that He will make you as a fortified wall, and though they fight against you they shall not prevail, for He is with you to save you and to deliver you Jeremiah 15:20. If God is for us, who can be against us Romans 8:31.

We also lift up your cry for salvation, deliverance, healing, reconciliation and unity and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit upon your entire household. We thank Him that His arm is not too short to save and we ask Him to save now, for whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved Acts 2:21 and Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you will be saved, you and your household Acts 16:31. There is salvation in no other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved Acts 4:12, and Jesus said I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. We rejoice that you pray in the holy name of Lord Jesus, for it is only through Him we have access to the Father.

We pray for healing as you have asked. Heal me, O Yahweh, and I will be healed, save me, and I will be saved Jeremiah 17:14. By His wounds we are healed Isaiah 53:5 and the Lord promises I will restore health to you, and I will heal you of your wounds Jeremiah 30:17. We ask Him to restore your souls Psalm 23:3, to pour His love into your hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us Romans 5:5, and to give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you Ezekiel 36:26, manifesting the fruit of the Spirit in love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self control Galatians 5:22. We ask for that supernatural trust and faith that comes from Him, for we are to trust in Yahweh with all our heart, and not lean on our own understanding Proverbs 3:5. In your pain and under these attacks and abuse, we ask Him to lift you up, to give you encouragement and strength, and to help you keep in remembrance all He has already done, for He has answered so many prayers. We thank Him with you and praise Him, and ask Him to restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten Joel 2:25 and to turn every curse into blessing, for Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us Galatians 3:13.

We bring before the Lord all those loved ones whose names you have entrusted to Him, including the needs for school and teachers, for understanding and homework, for supernatural confidence in Christ, for favor with teachers and fellow students, for healing of trauma and rejection and abandonment, for protection of sleep, for help with vacation, work, new responsibilities and daily needs. We ask the Lord to intervene powerfully in the relationships you mentioned. We pray that every relationship in your family would honor God according to His design. We believe marriage is a lifelong covenant between one man and one woman, and that courtship should be with the goal of godly marriage to another Christian believer. We pray that any relationship that is not of the Lord, that is dysfunctional, unequally yoked, or marked by fornication which is sex before or outside marriage, or adultery, would be rebuked and stopped by the Lord, and that He would heal wounds and bring either godly restoration or godly separation as is His will. We ask Him to give wisdom, purity, and discernment, and to prevent disastrous entanglements, and to bring godly spouses in His timing for those who desire marriage, and to bring healing and a miracle where reconciliation is according to His will. We pray for ### and for others you mentioned, for ### and for ###, that the Lord would save, deliver, pardon and help according to His mercy.

We also join you in confession and repentance before the Lord for talking badly about ### behind her back, for venting and expressing frustration about others, and for explosive anger in your heart and for fear. We thank God that if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness 1 John 1:9. We ask Him to forgive you and cleanse you, to help you put away all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, with all malice, and to be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you Ephesians 4:31. We pray that no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but only what is good for building up Ephesians 4:29, and that you would be quick to listen, slow to speak, slow to anger James 1:19. For God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self control 2 Timothy 1:7, so we ask Him to rebuke what is behind that fear and to fill you with His perfect love which casts out fear, and to help you do better by His grace.

We lift up the meeting today, the devotions, the prayer gatherings including this Friday evening, the prayer ministry, the sermon and the next sermon on that broad topic, the workshop and the Live Nativity, and worship. We ask the Lord to anoint powerfully, to tell you exactly what to say, to empower, lead and guide and give success, to pour out the fire of His Holy Spirit, to protect, anoint and guide every gathering, to work in hearts to pray and to come together to pray, and to use it all for salvation and for His glory. We pray for ### and for ### and ###, for the conflict and for those who feel overlooked, that the Lord would guide, convict where needed, confirm truth, confront what is not of Him, bring back those who have strayed, comfort the afflicted, remove what harms and encourage greatly. We ask Him to send overall encouragement and breakthrough, for we know He cares for you and He sees you when you feel overlooked, and He will not leave you.

We thank You Father and Lord Jesus for all You have already done and will do. May You be glorified in a mighty way in all these lives. We ask You to direct and guide in all things, to break and remove all curses and turn them into blessings, to restore what seems hopelessly broken, to save, deliver and heal completely, to make Your will done. We pray all this in the holy and powerful name of Lord Jesus Christ, Amen.

We hear how heavy and long this road has been for you and your family, and also how you are holding onto gratitude for what God has already done even while you are still waiting for complete healing and deliverance. That tension of thankfulness and waiting is hard, and we admire your desire to trust Him rather than lean on your own understanding.

Abuse and ongoing attacks can wear down a person's sense of worth and leave a lingering feeling of powerlessness, as if you have to stay on alert. It makes sense you are asking so earnestly for protection, peace in your home, and for each heart to be renewed. God sees your dignity and the dignity of each family member you named, and He is not distant from that pain.

When so many burdens are stacked together, it helps not to carry them alone. If you have a trusted pastor or a mature believer who knows you, consider letting one or two people walk with you steadily, praying with you and knowing how things are unfolding week to week, so the load is shared.

Father, we bring this family before You in Jesus' name. We ask for Your protection over each one, for safety in their home and hearts, for healing where there has been wounding, and for Your salvation and deliverance to be known among them. Pour Your love and peace into them, restore what has been broken, and give steady trust and strength for each day, especially for the meetings and responsibilities ahead. Forgive where forgiveness is needed and guide every next step according to Your will. Amen.

Your many prayers have been poured out before the Lord with a full heart, and it is well that you have cast all your cares upon Him who cares for you. He who hears the cries of His people is not deaf to such earnest pleading, and He who has already answered so many prayers will not forsake you now while you wait for complete deliverance, healing and salvation.

You ask for strong protection for your family and yourself, pleading the blood of Jesus and asking for His encircling presence according to Psalm 91 and Psalm 34:7 and Zechariah 2:5. Remember that our true wall of fire is Christ Himself. The deliverance you seek must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah alone. You can do nothing to deliver yourself from the pit, but God has found a ransom, and that ransom is His own Son. Look unto Him and be saved, for salvation is to look to Christ, to trust in Him, to depend upon Him without fear as to your present and eternal salvation. Whoever believes on Him shall not be ashamed.

You ask for salvation for your whole house, for deliverance and healing, for reconciliation and unity and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Know that healing and pardon are one in Christ. The leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and the least thing about Christ is healing virtue. When the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing beneath His wings, He forgives sin and heals the soul, and that healing will work in you till you are without spot or wrinkle. There is an abundance of healing power in Jesus Christ and His salvation, not only for the soul but for the whole person, and He is able to change the life blood and make the nature other than it was before. Pray then that He would pour His love into your hearts according to Romans 5:5, and give you new hearts and new minds according to Ezekiel 36, that the fruit of the Spirit may be manifest in you and your souls restored as in Psalm 23.

You speak of things that have been difficult and painful, of attacks and abuse, and of waiting while still trusting. Do not lean upon your own understanding, but in all your trials and afflictions look unto Christ and find deliverance. In all your agony and repentance for guilt, look unto Christ and find pardon. The tried and tempted man will see clearly that salvation is all of grace, and that if he ever rises from despondency he can take no honor to himself. It must be of free grace only. The Lord will be your arm every morning, your salvation in time of trouble, if you will sit still and let God arise for you. He makes deliverance effectual, for though you willingly come to Him, it is still true that He brings you forth.

You ask that every curse be broken and turned into blessing, and that what seems hopelessly broken be restored. Christ has redeemed us from the curse, being made a curse for us according to Galatians 3, and He is able to restore the years that the locust has eaten according to Joel 2. Pray with penitent David, Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free Spirit. He says to His wandering people, they shall be as though I had not cast them aside. That is perfect restoration.

Concerning the many particular burdens you name for family members, for school and teachers, for homework and understanding, for trauma and rejection, for sleep and health and work and new responsibilities, for your prayer ministry and the evening of prayer this Friday, for devotions and sermons and worship and workshops, the Lord knows each name and each need though you have written them as . Bring each one before Him in simple faith, asking not for your will but for His holy will to be done, and for His anointing and guidance and protection upon every gathering and every labour for His glory.

And concerning relationships in your family, where you ask for intervention and for prevention of disastrous and dysfunctional unions, we join you in praying for the Lord's holy and wise intervention. We do not ask God to bless what is not according to His design, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and the gift of intimacy belongs within it. Rather we pray that the Lord would lead every heart into purity, wisdom and self control, that He would rebuke what is unholy and heal wounds, that He would grant favour where it is right and close doors where it is not, and that every relationship would either be brought into conformity to His Word or be graciously ended by His hand. Pray that those who are entangled may be delivered and made whole, that the lonely may find their confidence not in another person but in Christ, and that every home may know peace within its borders.

You have confessed with honesty that you have spoken ill of others behind their backs and that you have felt explosive anger and fear and frustration, and you ask forgiveness. Take comfort that when Jesus heals He says, Son, be of good cheer, thy sins are forgiven thee. If you confess your sins, He is faithful and just to forgive. Seek His grace to do better, to speak only what is helpful for building up, and to confront in love what must be confronted, leaving vengeance and vindication to Him.

Therefore let us pray together.

Lord Jesus, Thou alone art our salvation. We look unto Thee and plead Thy blood and Thy righteousness for this dear one and for every member of this family. Spread Thy wings over them, encamp Thine angels about them, be Thou a wall of fire round about them and the glory in the midst of them. Save those who are yet unsaved, for Thine arm is not shortened that it cannot save. Deliver the oppressed, heal the brokenhearted and those wounded in body and mind, restore what is broken, turn every curse into blessing through Thy cross, and pour out Thy Holy Spirit upon this household. Give new hearts, restore souls, grant supernatural trust and faith and love, and make Thy fruit abound. Forgive all sin of tongue and temper and fear, and cleanse by Thy grace. Guide in every school and work and ministry, anoint every prayer gathering and every sermon and every song, that Christ may be lifted up and sinners drawn to Him. Rebuke all that is evil and protect from the archers of discord, and grant peace, unity and encouragement, and a mighty breakthrough for Thy glory. We ask this in Thy holy name, Lord Jesus, trusting not in our prayers but in Thy perfect sacrifice. Amen.
