Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

Your prayer has been heard and we join you in bringing your family before the Lord Jesus Christ with thanksgiving for all He has already done and with trust for what He will yet do.

We thank God with you that you can already see His hand in answered prayers. Hold fast to that remembrance while you wait, for God often allows waiting not because He has forsaken you but to make your faith and fortitude manifest to others and to strengthen you. As Abraham was tried not because God needed to learn what was in him but to show his faithfulness, so trials come to the noblest servants of God. Do not think you suffer as one forsaken. The portion of those who inherit the promises is faith and patience through trial, and God in His wisdom disposes the timing of these things for your good.

You have asked for protection according to Psalm 91 and other scriptures, for a wall of fire and for angels to surround you. We pray with you that the Lord Himself would be your refuge and your guard. Yet remember that our greatest treasure is not to be committed to the earth where it is uncertain, but into the hand of the Lord who both keeps it and rewards its keeping. Build your hope in His regions. He who is Lord of all is more worthy of trust than any earthly defense, and He stands ready to receive what you commit to Him.

You ask for salvation, deliverance, healing, reconciliation and unity for your whole household, for new hearts and for the fruit of the Holy Spirit, for restoration of what is broken and for curses to be turned to blessing. All these things are found in one place only. By Himself He purged our sins and sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high. The gift was made greater because it was through the Son Himself. We were reconciled to God through Himself, through His blood, through the cross. There are five wonders in that one act, that He reconciled us, to God, through Himself, through death, through the cross, not by mere words but by giving Himself. There is no other arm that saves. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, His blood alone makes peace where there was enmity and war. So we pray that every member of your family would know that reconciliation, that God would pour His love into your hearts and give you new hearts that hear His word continually, remember it, and walk in fortitude and holiness.

You have also asked for healing. We pray for the healing of body and soul for those you named, for help in school, for teachers and fellow students, for sleep, for work and daily responsibilities. Know that Christ grants healing even at the faith of others when the one who suffers cannot come to Him or is too weak to ask. Your prayers for your family are not in vain. At the same time, healing and deliverance are not only freedom from one burden but a call to cultivate the whole life of virtue, careful hearing of the word, endurance, and turning away from worldly cares. We ask the Lord to restore your souls as Psalm 23 promises and to bring back what the locust has eaten in His perfect time.

Concerning the relationships you mentioned, including those that have been painful, dysfunctional or that tempt toward what is not holy, we do not ask God to bless what is outside His design. We pray instead for His clear intervention, for purity, for wisdom and for deliverance. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and all intimacy and living together belongs within that covenant. Where relationships have been marked by hurt, rejection, abandonment or sin, we pray that the Lord would rebuke what is not of Him, heal wounds, break patterns of sin, and lead each person to walk in repentance, self control and holiness. Where restoration is according to His will, we pray He would bring it about in a way that glorifies Him. Where separation is needed for protection and holiness, we pray He would give courage and peace to do what is right.

You confessed that you spoke badly about others behind their backs and that you felt explosive anger and fear in your heart. We thank God for that honesty. Confess this directly to the Lord, and where needed to those you have spoken against, and receive His forgiveness. He Himself purged our sins, and His grace is sufficient to cleanse and to teach us to do better. Trials befall all, but by the power and grace of God the consequences of trials need not overcome us. Those who have been recovered through many dangers learn to hold more firmly to hope.

We also lift up the many practical needs you named, the meeting today, the devotions, the prayer gatherings on Friday evening, the prayer ministry, the sermon and workshop and worship and Live Nativity, the conflicts where you feel overlooked, and the need for encouragement and breakthrough. We pray that God would anoint your gatherings, guide your words as you preach, and work in the hearts of those who hear so that many would come together to pray and to hear the gospel for salvation. Like Paul, we are comforted when we hear of faith that stands fast in the Lord. Your steadfastness encourages others, and their prayers in turn strengthen you. We now live together in Christ when we stand fast in Him.

So we pray: Lord Jesus Christ, You alone are our peace. Forgive our sins through Your blood shed on the cross. Save now those in this family who do not yet know You. Deliver from evil, heal what is wounded, pour out Your Holy Spirit, grant new hearts full of love, joy and peace, and restore what is broken according to Your mercy. Teach us not to lean on our own understanding but to trust You fully. Give supernatural trust and faith, guard our minds, protect our sleep and our homes, guide our work and studies, and lead every relationship into holiness. Forgive our harsh words and anger, and make us gentle and truthful. Anoint the preaching of Your word and the prayers of Your people this week, and let Your name be glorified in a mighty way in all these lives. We ask this in Your holy name, Lord Jesus. Amen.
