Silas
Beloved of All
Thank you for opening your heart so honestly and for bringing your family before the Lord with such persistence and faith. The pain, the attacks, and the long waiting you describe are real, and it is right to bring them to Jesus again and again while also giving thanks for all He has already done. Holding both gratitude for answered prayer and longing for complete deliverance and healing is not a contradiction, it is trusting Him in the middle of the story.
Scripture reminds us that salvation is entirely the work of God and not our own achievement, so that no one can boast. We are His workmanship, His poem, a work of grace and beauty formed by His hands. Before Christ we were without hope and without God in the world, strangers to His promises. That is why there is no other escape and no other way to be made right with Him except through Jesus. His name itself means the Lord is salvation, and He came down from glory to the cross to make a way for everyone who calls on Him. The promise stands that whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved, and that if we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. Now is the time to receive that grace. Today is the day of salvation, and that offer is open to you and to every member of your household.
Because salvation is His gift, you can have assurance. That assurance is like a covering for your mind when the enemy brings accusations and tries to tell you that you are not saved or not loved because of what you have done or suffered. Faith in the finished work of Jesus keeps you secure from those fiery darts. God has also given you His Spirit and spiritual weapons, so you do not have to accept every attack. You can refuse what is false and rejoice that He is your shield, your wall of fire around you, and that He commands His angels to guard those who fear Him. No weapon formed against you will finally prosper, and when evil comes in like a flood, the Spirit of the Lord lifts up a standard against it. The Lord is faithful and will strengthen and guard you.
You asked for protection according to His promises, and it is right to pray that way. Ask Him to surround each one in your family, to keep you in His care, to be your defender and deliverer, and to let Romans 8:31 be your confidence that if God is for us, who can be against us. At the same time, do not let the need to defend yourself against every hurtful word or false story consume you. The enemy loves to distract you from simply serving the Lord and walking forward in what He has called you to do. Keep building what God has given you to build, and trust Him to be your protection while you do it.
You have prayed for healing, for new hearts and minds, for love to be poured into your hearts, for the fruit of the Spirit, for the restoration of your souls, for curses to be broken and turned to blessing, and for what seems hopelessly broken to be restored. God does heal, and by the wounds of Christ provision has been made for both soul and body, and He promises to restore the years that have been lost and to give a new heart and a new spirit. At the same time, His greatest miracle in any life is the forgiveness of sins and the new life He gives in salvation, and that remains the most important need for every person. Physical healing is precious, but it is always subject to His wise and loving will, as we see even with the apostle Paul who prayed three times and was taught to rest in grace. So continue to ask boldly for healing and deliverance, while resting in the greater healing you already have in Christ and trusting His timing and purposes for each need.
You also carried many specific burdens for your family, for school and teachers, for understanding and confidence, for trauma and the deep wounds of rejection and abandonment, for sleep, for work and new responsibilities, for conflicts and for relationships that have been painful and dysfunctional. God sees each of those details. It is right to ask Him to intervene in relationships that dishonor Him, to stop what is not of Him, to heal wounds, and to lead each person toward purity and wholeness. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and intimacy belongs within that covenant alone, so pray not that God would bless what is outside His design, but that He would bring conviction where needed, bring godly direction, bring healing from past patterns, and bring either reconciliation in a way that honors Him or a gracious separation and a season of singleness and growth until He leads in His way. Pray also for favor and help with learning, for peace in your home, for restoration where there has been division, and for unity that comes from His Spirit.
You mentioned feeling overlooked, venting in frustration about others, and struggling with fear. It is good that you have confessed that. The Lord is merciful to forgive when we bring it to Him, and He will help you to speak about others in a way that is truthful and loving, to address conflict directly and graciously, and to trust Him rather than leaning on your own understanding. Fear loses its grip as you fix your eyes on Him and remember that He is with you.
For the prayer gatherings and times of ministry and teaching you mentioned, pray that the Lord would anoint, protect, and guide them, and that He would draw hearts to seek Him together and to be filled with His Spirit. He delights to answer when His people seek Him together.
May the Lord encourage you and strengthen you as you wait. Do not lose sight of what He has already done while you continue to trust Him for what is still before you.
Let us pray together. Lord Jesus, thank You for Your great salvation that is open to all who call on You. I ask that You save, deliver, and heal each one in this family according to Your mercy. Surround them with Your presence as a wall of fire, guard them from evil, and be their shield. Pour Your love into their hearts by Your Holy Spirit, give them new hearts and renewed minds, restore their souls, and cause the fruit of Your Spirit to grow in them. Break what needs to be broken and turn what has been meant for harm into blessing through the cross. Restore what has been broken, bring unity where there has been division, heal trauma and rejection, help with school and work and daily responsibilities, grant peaceful sleep, guide every relationship according to Your holy will, and lead each one away from what would harm them and toward what is pure and life giving. Forgive where there has been sin in word or attitude, take away fear, and teach us to trust You with all our hearts. We thank You for what You have already done and we trust You for what You will yet do. May You be glorified in every part of these lives. In Your holy name, amen.
