Lord Jesus please grant

Your prayer has been heard and your heart for your family is clear in every line you wrote. Thank you for bringing these deep and painful needs to the Lord so honestly, and for also remembering with thanksgiving how much He has already done and answered. That posture of gratitude while still waiting is pleasing to God and it will guard your heart as you continue to trust Him.

The Lord knows the attacks and the abuse and the difficulty you have walked through. Scripture invites you to trust Him and not lean on your own understanding, and to cast all your care on Him because He cares for you. He is your shield and your wall of fire and He gives His angels charge over those who fear Him. You asked for that protection according to Psalm 91 and Psalm 34:7 and Zechariah 2:5 and Isaiah 54:17 and other promises, and it is right to ask. God is able to keep you and your family in His hand and no weapon formed against you will finally prosper because your righteousness is in Christ.

You also prayed for salvation and deliverance and healing and reconciliation and unity and a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, and His arm is not too short to save. Pray that each member of your family will hear the Word and respond in faith, because Jesus said His true family are those who hear the Word of God and do it. There is a bond in Christ that is even deeper than natural family ties, and when family relationships are painful, the Lord draws near as Father and restores the soul as Psalm 23 promises. Ask Him to pour His love into your hearts according to Romans 5:5 and to give new hearts and new minds according to Ezekiel 36, that the fruit of the Spirit would be evident in love and peace and joy.

Concerning healing, the Lord showed in His earthly ministry what the kingdom of God is like. He healed the sick and cleansed the lepers and raised the dead, showing God's original intent to restore what sin has marred. The prophet Isaiah pointed to this and Matthew applies it to physical healing as well as to forgiveness of sin, so it is right to bring your bodies and minds to Him for healing according to Isaiah 53:5 and Jeremiah 30:17. At the same time Scripture is honest that we do not always understand His ways in healing. Once Jesus healed a blind man gradually, in stages, and that is the only gradual healing recorded, which reminds us that healing can be immediate or it can be a process. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord chose not to remove it but to give grace sufficient for it. This teaches us not to presume that God must heal every affliction instantly in the way we expect, while still believing with all our hearts that He does heal today in many ways. Sometimes the healing He does first is in the mind and the emotions, binding up wounds and scars and trauma and rejection, and that too is a divine work. Keep asking, keep believing, and keep trusting His wisdom and timing when the answer is not yet fully seen.

You prayed that every curse would be broken and turned to blessing and that what seems hopelessly broken would be restored. Christ has redeemed us from the curse by becoming a curse for us according to Galatians 3:13, and God promises to restore the years that have been lost according to Joel 2:25. Bring every specific need for school and teachers and work and new responsibilities and sleep and daily provision to Him. He cares about homework and understanding and favor in the classroom, and about confidence that is rooted in Him rather than in ourselves. He cares about trauma and abandonment and the wounds that relationships have left, and He is able to heal those deep places.

For the relationships you mentioned, pray that the Lord will bring clear intervention according to His holy design. Marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union and living together belong within that covenant. Do not ask God to bless what does not honor that design, but ask Him to either bring relationships into alignment with His will in purity and truth or to graciously end what is destructive and dysfunctional. Pray for deliverance from harmful patterns, for healing of wounds, for wisdom to set godly boundaries, and for those who are influencing others toward harm to be rebuked and stopped. Pray for favor and protection at school and for hearts to be softened where there has been harsh treatment.

You confessed venting about others and frustration spoken behind their backs and asked for forgiveness. That is right before God. Confess it to Him and where needed to those involved, and ask Him to help you speak with grace and truth and to handle conflict in a way that builds up. He is faithful to forgive and to help you do better by His Spirit.

You also prayed for your devotional life and for times when you gather to pray and for the message you will share. Ask the Lord to anoint those times, to guide your words, and to draw hearts to pray together. Be careful not to drift from the truths you have heard, but give earnest heed to His Word daily, using what He has already given you, and He will add more. He will lead you in what to say and empower it for His glory and for the salvation of those who hear.

May the Lord strengthen your trust and increase your faith, not a faith from yourself but the faith He gives, and keep you from fear. Do not lose sight of what He has already done while you wait for complete deliverance and healing and salvation for all. He who began a good work will be faithful to complete it.

Father in heaven, in the name of Jesus Christ we lift this family to You. Cover them with Your protection, save those who are not yet saved, deliver those who are oppressed, heal bodies and minds and hearts, bring reconciliation and unity where there is division, pour out Your Holy Spirit and Your love, give new hearts, restore souls, break every chain through the cross, restore what has been broken, guard sleep and guide school and work, bring every relationship under Your lordship according to Your design for purity and marriage, forgive sin and teach us to walk in forgiveness and truth, anoint times of prayer and the teaching of Your Word, and be glorified in every part of these lives. Amen.
