Beloved of All
Your prayer has risen before the Lord and we join you in lifting your family before Him with thanksgiving for all He has already done and with trust for what He will yet do.
We pray with you for strong protection. We ask the Lord to be your shield and your wall of fire, to command His angels to encamp around those who fear Him, and to keep you under the shadow of His wings according to His promises in Psalm 91 and Psalm 34. We ask not only for safety from outward attack and abuse, but for inward strength, that you may not lean on your own understanding but trust Him with all your heart, and that He will restore your soul and pour His love into your hearts by the Holy Spirit.
We pray also for salvation, for deliverance and for healing. Scripture teaches that now is the acceptable time and now is the day of salvation, and that God sent His Son not to judge the world but to save the world through Him. Salvation is through Jesus Christ alone, by His mercy and His cross, and it is received as we hear His word carefully and keep it continually, with fortitude and with a heart turned away from the cares of this world and the deceitfulness of riches. Hearing alone is not sufficient, but hearing joined to doing, to patient endurance in suffering, and to a life that seeks holiness. So we ask the Lord to give you and your whole household new hearts and new minds, to make His word alive in you, and to bring forth in you love, joy, peace, patience and all the fruit of the Spirit. As you endure affliction, may it work in you comfort and salvation, knowing that as you share in the sufferings of Christ you will also share in His comfort.
Concerning the many relationships and concerns you have named, we bring them before the Lord asking for His holy will to be done. We do not ask God to bless what is outside His design, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and the gift of intimacy belongs within that covenant alone. Where there is brokenness, dysfunction, trauma, rejection or abandonment, we ask for healing and deliverance. Where there are relationships that do not honor Him, we pray for conviction, for purity, for a turning away from what harms the soul, and for either a restoration into holiness according to His design or a gracious separation and healing. We pray for favor in school, for understanding of material, for confidence rooted in Christ, for sleep, for work, for vacation and for daily responsibilities, that the Lord would lead and guide and grant success as you walk in His ways. We pray that every curse would be broken by the cross of Christ who became a curse for us, and that what has been broken would be restored as only He can restore.
We pray with you for forgiveness where you have spoken in frustration behind another's back and for grace to do better, to speak with truth and love and to seek reconciliation where there is conflict. We pray for those who have hurt you, not with prayers for harm, but that God would confront what is not of Him, bring conviction and bring salvation even to those who oppose you, for the truth has power to save even enemies.
We lift up your prayer gatherings and your devotions, including your evening of prayer this Friday, and your preaching. We ask the Lord to anoint your lips, to guide you in what to say, to protect and empower your prayer ministry, and to draw many hearts to pray together. May He pour out His Spirit, bring encouragement and breakthrough, and be glorified in a mighty way in all your lives.
Father, we thank You for Your mercies that have already delivered us in so many ways. We ask You now to complete Your work. Save, deliver, heal and keep this family. Guard them, sanctify them, unite them in Christ, and make them steadfast in patient endurance until Your salvation is fully revealed. We pray in the holy name of Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
