Lord Jesus please grant

Your prayer has been heard and your heart for your family is evident. Thank you for pouring out so honestly what has been so painful and difficult, and for giving thanks even while you are still waiting for complete answers. God sees the attacks and the abuse and the long strain you have carried, and He invites you to trust Him and not lean on your own understanding.

The Scriptures you have clung to are true anchors. The name of Jesus itself declares His mission, for it means the Lord is salvation. He came to save His people from their sins, and that salvation is both a rescue from the hand of the enemy and a calling for a purpose, that we might serve Him without fear in holiness and righteousness, being made right with Him. There is no other way of escape. God has provided one way, through Jesus Christ, and that salvation is great because it is open to all who will call upon Him. If we confess with our mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in our heart that God raised Him from the dead, we will be saved. That confession now is unto salvation, and now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Later every knee will bow, but that confession will not be unto salvation then. Today He is ready to save.

You have asked for a wall of fire around you and for His angels to encamp around you according to His promises. The Lord is your shield, your keeper, and He does command His angels to surround those who fear Him. He is your refuge under whose wings you can trust, and no weapon formed against you will ultimately prosper because your security is in Christ. Nothing can separate you from the love of God in Christ Jesus. To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord for those who are His, and He is leading many sons and daughters into His family as the captain of our salvation. You are His workmanship, His poem, made by grace and not by your own strength, so that no one can boast. Salvation is wholly His work.

For your family, continue to pray and to trust God for their salvation. God desires that all would be saved, and He hears your intercession. At the same time each person must personally hear the word of the Lord and believe. In the Scriptures we see that when the word was spoken to a household, those in the house heard, believed, and were baptized. So keep praying, keep sharing Christ with love and truth, and trust the Lord to draw each heart to Himself. His arm is not short that it cannot save.

You have also asked for healing, deliverance, reconciliation and unity, for new hearts, for the pouring out of His love and the fruit of the Spirit, for the restoring of your souls and for what seems hopelessly broken to be restored. The Lord does heal. The prophet declared that by His wounds we are healed, and the Gospel shows Jesus healing the leper, the servant, the mother in law, and multitudes who were sick and oppressed. That same compassion belongs to Him today. Yet the greatest miracle He does in any life is the forgiveness of sins. Physical healing is precious, but salvation is of far greater weight. Even the apostle Paul prayed three times for a thorn to be removed and learned that God's grace was sufficient and His strength made perfect in weakness. So we ask boldly for healing and deliverance, and we also submit to His perfect wisdom and timing, trusting that He will do what is best.

Through the cross Christ has borne the curse for us, so that every curse is broken and can be turned to blessing for those who are in Him. He promises to give a new heart and a new spirit, to pour His love into our hearts by the Holy Spirit, and to restore the soul like a shepherd leading His sheep. He promises to restore the years that have been eaten away. His purposes will stand. He will deliver His people. His work will be done.

For the many specific burdens you carried, for school and teachers and homework, for work and new responsibilities, for sleep and for rest, for conflicts and for words spoken in frustration, for relationships that have been painful and dysfunctional, ask the Lord to bring what is of Him and to confront what is not of Him. Pray for purity and wisdom, for relationships to be formed only according to His design, for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman and for all intimacy to be kept within that covenant. Pray for favor and for confidence that is rooted in Him, for protection over minds and hearts, and for forgiveness and reconciliation where you have been hurt or have hurt others. Confess what needs confessing and receive His cleansing.

Do not lose sight of what He has already done. Give thanks, as you have, and then work out what He has worked in. We do not work for salvation, we work out the salvation He has already given, with reverence and trust, because it is God who works in us both to will and to do His good pleasure.

May the Lord keep you and your family in His perfect peace as you trust Him, guard your hearts and minds in Christ Jesus, fill you with supernatural trust and faith, and cause His love, joy and peace to be manifest in you. May He restore unity where there has been division, bring deliverance where there has been bondage, and pour out His Spirit upon your home. May He anoint your prayers and your devotions and guide every step you take, that He alone would be glorified in all your lives.

In the holy name of Jesus, who is our salvation, amen.
