Lord Jesus please glorify yourself

We thank you for pouring out your heart with such honesty and for your deep desire to see the Lord Jesus glorified in your family. We join you in lifting all of these burdens to Him, trusting that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone, the perfect spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and cleanses us from all sin by His blood.

We pray with you that God would be glorified in your home, that He would save, heal, deliver and protect each member of your family including relatives who do not yet know Him. We ask that He would open every unsaved heart to the gospel, for now is the day of salvation and now is the acceptable time to turn to Him. We pray that He would deliver from every bondage, addiction, compulsion and anything that is not of Him, and that He would give you all a continual hunger to hear His Word, to remember it, and to walk in it with fortitude and faithfulness, since hearing alone is not enough without a life that follows it.

We plead the blood of Jesus over you and your loved ones in the biblical sense of trusting fully in His finished work on the cross for forgiveness and protection, and we ask the Lord according to Psalm 91 and Psalm 50:15 to be your refuge and to answer when you call upon Him in the day of trouble. We ask for His protection over your thoughts and emotions, for His peace to guard you, and for wisdom and guidance for every decision. We also ask for the fullness of the Holy Spirit in your lives, that you would love Him first and foremost, obey Him, and quickly repent of anything that grieves Him, remembering that His mercies are new every morning.

We bring before the Lord the specific needs you mentioned. For the children and young people in your family, we pray for healing of physical needs such as spasms and other infirmities, for strength in faith, for comfort in times of trauma, rejection and abandonment, for true friendships at school, for favor with teachers and classmates, for help with tests, homework and understanding, for confidence rooted in Christ, and for the assurance that God hears their prayers. We pray for healing of wounds in relationships within the family, that God would remove lies and strongholds and bring supernatural reconciliation where there has been hurt and burnout.

Concerning relationships, we pray as you have asked that God would bring salvation and deliverance first. We do not ask God to bless any relationship that is outside His design, but we pray that every relationship in your family would be brought into alignment with His good will, that marriage would be honored as the lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and that all intimacy and living together would be kept within that covenant. Where a relationship is dysfunctional, harmful, or draws anyone away from Christ, we pray that God would in His mercy block what is not good, expose what is hidden, bring conviction and repentance, and either transform it by His grace or graciously end it and lead each person toward purity, wholeness and salvation.

For work and ministry, we pray for your meetings, tasks, workload, organization, planning, strategy, leadership and shepherding, for the teams and those in headquarters, and for the difficult situations with coworkers. We pray that God would turn what the enemy meant for evil into blessing, that He would give you grace to speak with integrity and to seek forgiveness where you have spoken badly about others, and that He would help you to act in a way that honors Him when you feel angry or overlooked. We ask for His hand on all matters of care and provision.

We also lift up the prayer meetings, the intro course, the sermons, the outreaches to the homeless and on the subways, the Easter outreach, the children's church and kids camp, and the worship ministry. We pray that God would powerfully anoint those gatherings, pierce hearts by His Word, draw many to Himself including parents and those who have heard the gospel through you, and stir the church to pray more fervently together. We pray that His Word would sink deep and bear lasting fruit for salvation, as His death and resurrection were accomplished for the salvation of the world.

We stand with you on the promises you cited, that God will bring justice for His elect as He hears their cries day and night, that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and that He shows His power among the peoples. We ask Him to act quickly according to His perfect wisdom and timing, to fight your battles, to give you encounters with Himself, and to send clear encouragement and breakthrough. May the Lord grant you repentance, fill you with His Spirit, direct your steps, and keep you in His peace as you continue to seek Him.
