Your prayer has been heard with care, and we join you in lifting your family before the Lord Jesus, that He would glorify Himself in every part of your lives.

We thank God with you for the signs of encouragement He has already given, and we agree with you that salvation comes through Jesus Christ alone, the perfect spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and cleanses us from all sin. His death is the salvation of the world, and there is no other name by which we are saved. We plead His blood over you not as a formula but as faith in His finished work on the cross, and we ask the Father to surround you with His protection as Psalm 91 promises, to guard your thoughts and emotions and to give you peace.

We stand with you for the salvation, deliverance and healing of your whole family, including relatives who do not yet know the Lord. We pray that God would open every unsaved heart to the gospel, for now is the acceptable time and now is the day of salvation. We ask that He would deliver from every bondage, addiction and compulsion, and from all that is not of Him, and that He would teach you to war a good warfare. This warfare requires strong arms and continual vigilance, a sober mind and a heart that both hears the word and does it. Hearing alone is not sufficient for salvation. There is needed careful hearing and continual recollection, then fortitude, then contempt for worldly things and deliverance from all that entangles. The Commander stands ready to help, and He has furnished His people with strong armor.

Concerning the relationships you mentioned, we do not ask God to bless what is outside His good design, for marriage is a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman, and sexual union and living together belong within it. Instead we pray as you have prayed, that God would save, convict and deliver. Where a relationship is dysfunctional or contrary to His will, we ask Him to block what is not good, to expose what is hidden, to break strongholds and lies, and to bring repentance and healing. We pray that He would lead each person to holiness, to purity, and to relationships that honor Him, and that He would turn what the enemy meant for evil into blessing according to His wisdom.

We bring before the Lord the many particular burdens you named, the persons on your heart, the needs for friends at school and favor with teachers and classmates, help with tests and homework and understanding, strength of faith and assurance that God hears prayer, healing of spasms and wounds of body and heart, trauma and rejection and abandonment, burnout and anxiety, work and meetings and workload and organization, care needs, the prayer gatherings and outreaches and sermons and children's ministry and camps. We ask the Lord to block what is not good and to act according to His perfect justice and mercy, as you have stood on Luke 18:7 and 8, Psalm 50:15 which calls us to call upon Him in the day of trouble, and Isaiah 54:14 to 17 which promises that no weapon formed against His people shall prosper.

We join you also in repenting for what grieves Him, including the times you mentioned speaking in frustration behind another's back. We ask for His mercy, which is new every morning, and for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, that you would love Him first and foremost and obey Him, and that He would give you wisdom and direction and guidance in every decision. When we fail, as we all do, we return to His mercies and to His grace to walk more faithfully.

Do not grow weary in prayer. Continue to bring every detail before Him, trusting not only that He hears but that He will answer according to His goodness and power. May He grant you encounters with Himself, strengthen your faith, guard your family, heal what is broken, and establish you in love and obedience to Christ.
