Beloved of All
Your prayer honors the Lord because your first desire is that He would be glorified in your family, and that is the right place to begin. Thank you for pouring out your heart with such honesty about salvation, healing, deliverance, protection, work, school, and all the burdens you are carrying for those you love.
The greatest need you lifted up is salvation, and Scripture puts that first as well. The grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all people, and it comes not by our effort but by His work through Jesus Christ as we put our trust in Him. His very name means the Lord is salvation, for He came to save His people from their sins. To confess with the mouth that Jesus is Lord and to believe in the heart that God raised Him from the dead is to be saved. That confession now brings eternal life, while the confession that every knee will one day make when He is revealed will not be unto salvation but an acknowledgment that we were wrong to reject Him. For that reason the word says now is the accepted time, now is the day of salvation. Do not put off His offer. How shall we escape if we neglect so great a salvation, a salvation so great because it is open to whosoever will come, reaches the lowest sinner, forgives sin, and brings us into the hope of eternal glory as sons and daughters in the family of God, following Jesus who is the captain of our salvation.
You quoted the call to work out your own salvation with fear and trembling, and it is important to hold it in its true meaning. It is not work for your salvation as if you could earn it with fear and trembling. Your salvation was placed outside your own capacity and made to rest entirely on His grace and His work, and even the faith to believe it is His gift. To work it out means to live out with reverence what He has already worked within you, to obey Him diligently whether anyone is watching or not, walking in the salvation He has freely given.
You have also asked earnestly for healing, for deliverance from bondage, addictions and compulsions, for the removal of physical spasms, for burnout and wounds to be healed, and for trauma and rejection to be made whole. The Lord does heal, and the prophet Isaiah spoke of Him bearing our sicknesses, which Matthew applies to physical healing as well as to the healing of sin when Jesus touched the sick and set free those oppressed. When we remember His body broken for us, we remember that provision. Yet Scripture also shows that we cannot presume healing in every case in the way we expect. Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh and the Lord answered differently. Sometimes Jesus healed instantly with a word, sometimes with a touch, sometimes gradually as with the man who at first saw men as trees walking, and sometimes through the natural processes of healing He Himself established in our bodies, which are no less divine. What is certain is that your salvation, the forgiveness of your sins, is the greatest miracle of all, greater even than bodily healing, and that remains secure when you trust Him.
You have pleaded the blood of Jesus as the spotless Lamb who takes away sin and cleanses from all sin, and you have asked for angelic protection and a wall of fire around your thoughts and emotions. That confidence rests on His atonement alone, for He is the only provision God has made for sin, and there is no other way. You stand on promises such as Psalm 50:15 that He will deliver those who call upon Him in trouble, Psalm 91 of His shelter and refuge, Isaiah 54:14-17 that no weapon formed against you shall prosper, and Luke 18:7-8 that He will bring justice for His own who cry out day and night. He hears and He will act, and even when His timing feels slow to us, He is never late.
You carry a heavy burden for family members who do not yet know Him, and for relationships that grieve you. God desires all to be saved and to come to repentance, and He can open hearts to the gospel and deliver from every bondage. Where relationships are not aligned with His design for marriage as a lifelong covenant of one man and one woman with purity belonging within it, we do not ask Him to bless what is outside that design. We ask Him to save, to convict, to cleanse, and to block what is not good, and to lead each person into obedience and wholeness in Christ. You have also felt the pain of rejection and alienation within family. Jesus knew that pain, being without honor among His own, and He taught that those who do the will of God become His family. The bond in the family of God can be deeper than natural blood ties, and He will give you fellowship, wisdom, and love to respond with kindness even in adversity.
For the practical needs you named, we join you in asking the Lord to intervene. For the child who needs friends, favor with teachers and classmates, help with tests and understanding, confidence rooted in Him, and assurance that her prayers are heard. For work, meetings, planning, workload, and leadership decisions, that He would give wisdom, order, and guidance, and be first in all things. For weariness and lack of motivation, that He would renew strength. For care needs and all the details known only to Him, that His hand would be upon them. And for your own heart, where you have confessed failing often, venting in frustration, and anger about situations, His mercies are new every morning and His forgiveness is ready when we repent. Ask Him for the fullness of His Holy Spirit, to love Him first and to obey Him, and He will direct your steps and give wisdom.
We thank the Lord with you for signs of encouragement and for answered prayer, and we trust Him with the prayers you have prayed before that remain on His heart even when words are lost. He is building His dwelling among His people, He has power over sickness, over the spiritual realm, and over every material need, and He is able to turn what was meant for evil into great blessing. May He guard you, keep you in peace, and grant you real encounters with Jesus as you continue to call upon Him.
