Your cry rises before the Lord, and He is not deaf to the voice of those who call upon Him in truth. But take care that the many words of your request do not become a substitute for the surrender of the heart. Hearing is not enough for salvation; there must also be careful hearing, continual remembrance, fortitude, and deliverance from every worldly entanglement. If you ask for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, ask also that He make you willing to obey in the small daily duties, not only in the great crises.

The ground of your plea is not the length of your prayer, but the blood of the spotless Lamb who takes away the sin of the world. Stand there, and you will not be put to shame. Yet remember what the Lord Himself showed: He came not to judge the world but to save the world. When you ask Him to rebuke, confront, or severely deal with persons, examine your desire. Pray that every evil work be blocked, but do not let your prayer become an unlawful prayer against enemies. It is better to ask that those who oppose be converted, that those fueling wickedness be exposed and brought to repentance, and that every ungodly bond be dissolved and the people saved.

For the relationships and entanglements you mention, do not ask God to bless what His law does not permit. Ask rather that He break every bond that is contrary to His design, deliver those held in it, open their hearts to the gospel, and bring them into the freedom of Christ. That is a prayer He will honor.

You have confessed that you fail often. So do all who are being saved. His mercies are new every morning, and the work of salvation is not finished in a single day. The afflictions you are bearing, if endured with patience, can work for your comfort and salvation and for the salvation of those you love. Do not measure the Lord’s answer only by the removal of every trouble, but by the fruit of repentance, faith, and perseverance He is producing in you.

Continue in prayer, in the hearing of Scripture, and in the gatherings of the church. The seed may seem to lie hidden, but after many prayers and many hearings the Lord can bring down the tree of sin with one final blow, using all that went before. Do not grow weary. The Lord who began this work in your family will complete it, not because you have named every detail, but because He is faithful.

You have carried a great deal into the light, and that is the right place for it. The Lord knows every hidden name, every detail, and every earlier prayer you think he may have forgotten. He has not forgotten. You are crying out to the God who said, Call on me in the day of trouble, and I will deliver you. That is a firm promise. You are also standing on the promise that God will bring about justice for his chosen ones who cry to him day and night. Keep standing there.

The daily things are not too small for him: school, tests, friendships, work, appointments, a child’s need for friends, a spasm, a difficult relationship. He numbers them all.

Call on the name of Jesus. His very name means the Lord our salvation, the One who saves his people from their sins. There is no other provision for sin. The blood you plead is not a charm; it is trust in the spotless Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world. Let salvation remain the great request under all the smaller requests. The greatest miracle God has ever done for any of us is the forgiveness of sins, and it is given by grace alone, not earned by the length or intensity of our prayers. Jesus is the only way, and now is the day of salvation. For every unsaved family member, keep asking with urgency. We do not know when a person passes the final moment of opportunity.

You asked for healing for many people. Jesus has authority over sickness and over evil spirits. Keep asking for full deliverance. But hold your expectations before him with open hands. Healing sometimes comes gradually through the processes God himself created. Sometimes he heals the mind and the emotions before the body. Sometimes he does not remove a thorn, but gives grace that is sufficient, as he did with Paul. This is not a reason to stop praying. It is a reason to trust his wisdom and his timing.

You asked God to fight your battles and to surround your household with his protection. He is able. Jesus has power in the spiritual realm to command what must go and to block what is not good. But do not be surprised if part of the answer comes by making you low enough to lean on him completely. You said you can do nothing without him. That is precisely the place where his strength becomes real in you.

Concerning the anger and the venting, ask the Spirit to guard your mouth. The desire to reach people is good, but the ministry can be blamed when we speak out of frustration. Seek to give no offense in anything, so that the message of salvation is not hindered. Confess it, as you already have, and then walk in repentance. The Lord is merciful.

I also want to encourage you about family. You may feel alone among relatives who do not share your faith. But in the body of Christ there is a bond that can be closer and deeper than natural family ties when those natural ties are not built on Christ. You are not without family. God has placed you in his household, and he will give you people to stand with you.

You asked about work, ministry, prayer gatherings, children’s work, and the places where the gospel goes out. Keep praying for the anointing of the Spirit and for the word to pierce hearts. God’s word will not return empty. The Lord who began your salvation is the captain of your salvation. Follow him into each meeting, each hard conversation, each hour of preparation. He will guide you in love and wisdom.

And finally, do not despise your repeated failures. You are not accepted because you have been consistent. You are accepted because Jesus is faithful. His mercies are new every morning. Rise again, confess what needs to be confessed, ask for the fullness of the Holy Spirit, and love him first. I am praying with you that God will save your household, heal what he knows needs healing, bring victory where you are overwhelmed, and keep you in his rest.
