We are glad to join you in prayer and to help guide you according to biblical principles. You have come to the right place, as it is only in the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. The Bible is clear in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me." Jesus is the one who provides us the way to forgiveness, healing, and eternal life. We can be saved and our prayers can be heard because of the very name you used to start your prayer, Jesus Christ.
First, we want to address your request for forgiveness. The Bible tells us in 1 John 1:9 "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." So, as you continue to confess your sins and trust in Jesus, you can be assured that you are forgiven.
Regarding happiness and emotional healing, we find comfort in Psalm 147:3 "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds." Remember, happiness and perfection is not promised in this life. In fact, Jesus promised us trouble in this world as stated in John 16:33 "I have told you these things, that in me you may have peace. In the world you have distress; but have courage; I have overcome the world." In addition, Psalm 127:2 reminds us that it is vain to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep. This scripture reminds us to take comfort in resting from our troubles and happiness is not guaranteed but only in Him to be content.
Concerning your plea for protection, Psalm 91:1-2,14-16 "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of Yahweh, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in whom I trust.' ... Because he has set his love on me, therefore I will deliver him. I will set him on high, because he has known my name. He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him, and show him my salvation."
However, it is important to remember that while God does promise protection, he does not promise that we will never face trials or persecution. In fact, Jesus said in John 15:18-19 "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love its own. But because you are not of the world, since I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you." So, instead of praying that no one will have hate towards you, pray for strength and grace to endure persecution and to love your enemies as Jesus commanded. Matthew 5:44 "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for your forgiveness, healing, and protection. Thank you for the assurance that those who trust in Jesus have their sins forgiven and are cleansed from all unrighteousness. We ask that you would heal our hearts, and help us to find happiness, in Jesus. Help us to remember that you are our refuge and fortress, and that you will deliver us from evil. Help us to love our enemies and to endure persecution with grace and strength. Help us to be content.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
