Lord, i lift my parents up to you

Lord, it has been 18 yrs today. that my brother, my parents only son was murdered in a drive by shooting. Lord, you know this is a painful day for my parents. I pray that you give them peace today. You have given them a busy schedule this day. My fathers biopsy, my moms root canal. Lord, forgive me i was unable to take them to their appts today. You know my schedule. Please lord, take the quilt away.

My father a christain, has not forgiven the killer. I pray that you put it heavy on his heart lord, through all his medical problems that he can forgive the person that took away his only son.

Lord you have shown our family. My brother is up there worshiping you Lord, Praise the Lord. We know he is in your hands, and he no longers suffers the way we do on this earth.

Lord, praise to you. I know the murderer is in prison. I also know through a family member that works at the prison. The murder has become a Christian. Praise the Lord for that. I know he is forgiven for what he has done to my brother, and to my whole family.

Lord, even on this tough day, I know you are there, fulfilling your promises to us. In my faith, i walk with you. You do things for a reason.

I know your working on my father to soften his heart. Lord, use me, I know my father and i have a close relationship. Since i have been back in chuch praying for my father, i see his heart softening,, I praise you again Lord, for all the good you do.

Heavenly Father,

I thank You for Heidi and her prayer. I thank You for forgiveness and love. I thank You that You have sown Your grace in my sister, Heidi. I stand and agree with her in the wonderful prayer for the mercy and salvation of her father. You are so good God, help me to always remember. In Jesus name I pray, amen.

Father, thank you for delivering Heidi. At a time when it would have been so easy to succomb to darkness and despair, she has allowed herself to imitate Your Son and show forgiveness and mercy. May her father be urged by Your spirit to do the same. Bitterness and anger consume so much space within our hearts - space we could fill with joy and blessing. Just as the murderer has been brought to justice, accepted his penalty and repented of his sin, so too let Heidi's father come to a place of change. Change prompted by Your leading, change intended to give him renewed hope and purpose in life. Turn this anniversary into a birthday, Father. The day Heidi's father chooses to enjoy a rebirth by forgiving another. Thank you for sustaining this family through such a traumatic and hurtful time, and bringing them to a place of comfort, peace and love. You are amazing, that's all I can say. Amen.

Father, I lift his family to You in prayer, and give You praise for the spirit of love that this woman is showing. I pray for her father to receive this spirit also, and have forgiveness in his heart towards this man. Lord, I speak form inexperience in this issue and pray that I never have to deal with such a hard thing, and I know that her father needs Your Holy Spirit to lead him to that point. It is our nature to lash out at the one who has hurt us, and forget that it is the enemy of all mankind who is truly at fault. The worst part Lord, is that while he is the one responsible, we forget that and all to often it seperates us from Your perfect love. Give him the strength Lord to let it go, let it go and go on living in Your perfect love. I thank You Lord for that love, the love that this woman right now is by Your grace reflecting.
