We come before the throne of grace with heavy hearts, lifting up this family before our Heavenly Father. Your prayer reveals deep love and concern for your grandchildren and children, and we join you in crying out to the Lord on their behalf. The Scriptures remind us, "Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you" (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). Let us bring each of these burdens before the Lord together.

First, we lift up your grandsons and granddaughter who are away from home. Father, we ask that You would indeed wrap Your arms around them, drawing them back safely. The psalmist declares, "If I take the wings of the dawn, and settle in the uttermost parts of the sea; even there your hand will lead me, and your right hand will hold me" (Psalm 139:9-10 WEB). Lord, be their guide and protector, wherever they may be. We pray for their safety and for Your Holy Spirit to convict their hearts, leading them to repentance and back to the family that loves them.

We also bring before You the strife between your grandsons. The Word tells us, "A brother offended is more difficult than a fortified city; and contentions are like the bars of a fortress" (Proverbs 18:19 WEB). Lord, we ask that You would break down these walls of offense and hurt. Soften their hearts toward one another, and help them to forgive as You have forgiven us. May they remember that "if it is possible, as much as it is up to you, be at peace with all men" (Romans 12:18 WEB).

For your grandsons seeking employment and education, we pray that You would open doors that no man can shut. "Commit your way to Yahweh. Trust also in him, and he will do this" (Psalm 37:5 WEB). Lord, provide them with opportunities to work and learn, and give them the wisdom and discipline to walk through those doors. May they find fulfillment in honoring You with their talents and time.

Regarding your granddaughter, we pray that You would stir in her heart a desire for self-care and responsibility. Laziness and neglect can take root when we are not walking closely with You, Lord. We ask that You would awaken her spirit to the truth that "whatever you do, work heartily, as for the Lord, and not for men" (Colossians 3:23 WEB). Help her to see the value You place on her well-being, both physically and spiritually.

For your own health, we ask for Your healing touch. The Lord is our healer, as it is written, "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds" (Psalm 147:3 WEB). We pray for restoration in your body, mind, and spirit. May the Lord remove any burdens or ailments that are weighing you down, and grant you the strength to do all that He has called you to do.

We also lift up your children, asking that You would mend their relationships and bring unity to their hearts. The enemy seeks to divide families, but we know that "a house divided against itself will not stand" (Mark 3:25 WEB). Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division and strife in this family. May they remember the commandment, "Honor your father and your mother, that your days may be long in the land which Yahweh your God gives you" (Exodus 20:12 WEB). Help them to reconcile and communicate with love and respect.

For their financial struggles, we pray that You would provide for their needs according to Your riches in glory. "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:19 WEB). Lord, give them wisdom in managing their resources, and help them to prioritize their responsibilities. May they learn to trust in You rather than their own understanding, for "the rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender" (Proverbs 22:7 WEB).

Let us now pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of hope and trust in Your promises. We lift up this family to You, asking for Your divine intervention in each of their lives. Lord, we pray for the safe return of those who are away, that Your hand would guide them home. Heal the broken relationships among siblings and family members, and replace strife with peace. Provide jobs and opportunities for those seeking employment, and open doors for education. Stir hearts to responsibility and self-care, and remove any laziness or neglect. We ask for Your healing touch upon this dear one’s health, restoring strength and vitality. Father, we pray for unity among the children, that they would communicate with love and respect. Provide for their financial needs, and teach them to manage their resources wisely.

Lord, we rebuke any spirit of division, rebellion, or worldliness that may be at work in this family. May they turn their hearts fully toward You, seeking first Your kingdom and Your righteousness. We pray that each member of this family would come to know You personally, if they do not already, and that they would walk in the light of Your truth. May they find their hope and identity in Christ alone, for "if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new" (2 Corinthians 5:17 WEB).

We ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus, for it is by His blood that we have access to Your throne of grace. May Your will be done in this family, and may Your name be glorified in every situation. Strengthen this dear one as she intercedes for her loved ones, and fill her with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. We trust in You, Lord, for You are faithful to complete the good work You have begun in each of their lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We’ve been sitting with your request, and we can feel how much you are carrying, the weight of so many people you love, all needing something, and you holding them up before the Lord with such urgency. It is clear that your granddaughter’s return is the deepest ache right now. The thought of her out there, away from home, must make it hard to breathe some days. We are sorry you are walking through that kind of fear, and we are praying with you for her safety and for God to work in her heart, and in the circumstances around her, in ways only He can.

With so many needs pressing in at once, it would be easy to feel crushed under them. When we carry that much alone, our own health and strength can get swallowed up by worry. Is there one trusted person in your life, a friend from church, a prayer partner, who could come alongside you in this? Not to fix it all, but just to sit with you and share the load aloud? Sometimes the most practical thing we can do is let another person’s presence remind us we are not handling this by ourselves.

Your own health matters too, and we hope you are getting the medical attention you need alongside the prayer you are pouring out. Please keep reaching for that help.

Lord, You see this grandmother and the love that keeps her on her knees. We ask You to draw her granddaughter home, guide her steps, protect her, and soften what needs to be softened. Bring peace to the grandsons’ conflicts and open doors for their future. Restore broken connections among her children, and give them the stability they need. And for this grandmother, we ask for healing, for relief from the things that afflict her body, and for fresh strength. In Jesus’ name we pray, Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

How often the cries of a grandmother's heart ascend before the throne, and surely the Lord inclines His ear! You plead for the return of wandering ones, and I am reminded of that blessed word in the fifteenth of Luke: the father saw his son a great way off and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him. So ready is our God to receive every prodigal who comes to himself and determines to go back to the Father's house. Remember, the mercy was given before the prayer was fully uttered; the kiss of forgiveness sealed the confession even as it began. Therefore, be strong in faith concerning those for whom you weep. The Lord is more willing to answer than you are to ask.

Yet the prodigal must arise and come. Pray that these young souls be struck with a holy discontent, that they may see the emptiness of their way and hear the voice which says, "Return, return!" It is not enough to merely cease the outward strife; there must be a right-about-face of the whole man. Cry to the Holy Spirit, the great Convincer, to lead them to true repentance. Should they now be fighting and wounding one another, plead the promise that He will heal backslidings. The Lord knows how to humble the proud heart and make the violent spirit gentle as a lamb. He can put an end to the quarrel and knit their hearts together in Christ Jesus, for He is the God of peace.

As for the younger ones and their daily habits, lay hold on the fact that godliness is profitable for all things. Take encouragement from the prayer of little Samuel: "Speak, Lord; for Thy servant heareth." Even a child may be taught to listen for the Lord's voice. Pray that the Spirit would guide your grandchildren into every good and cleanly way, and that slothfulness be banished in the name of Jesus. The Lord can rouse the sluggard and give such a taste for diligence that the duties of the body and the soul become a delight. Does He not say, "Return to your first Husband, for it was better with you then than now"? So let them return to order, to industry, and to that first love which makes every duty sweet.

I perceive your heart yearns also over the whole family circle, that your sons and daughters would speak to one another, that financial burdens be lifted, and that health be restored. What a mercy that the Lord of the whole earth looks upon households! When Noah and his family entered the ark, it was a day more weighty than the rise of empires, for in that small company lay the seed of the new world. God still deals with families. Perhaps He intends to bring a flood of grace upon your house, so that not a soul within it shall be lost. Pray on, dear suppliant, and do not faint. The prayers of a righteous grandparent avail much, for they are stored up like seed in the ground, and fifty years hence the Church may reap the harvest.

Concerning your own bodily trials, cast your burden upon the Lord, for He careth for you. He who numbers the very hairs of your head knows the frame of your body. Use the medicine He provides, but lean chiefly upon Jehovah-Rophi, the Lord that healeth thee. If it be His will to restore the power of walking, or to remove the sharp instruments of medicine, He can speak the word. But even if He should lay you yet longer upon the couch of affliction, know that all things are yours, health and sickness, ease and pain, and they are made to work together for good. The Spirit helps our infirmities in prayer, teaching us to cry, "Not as I will, but as Thou wilt."

I beseech you, then, gather all these loved ones before the mercy seat in secret, but do more: let your own return to the Lord be daily and deep. You cannot kindle fire in their hearts if your own are cold. Seek fresh forgiveness and fresh kisses from the Father. Then, as a child of God led by the Spirit, you shall see how He works. Perhaps this very morning some wandering one begins to think, "I will arise and go!" Let not a long interval pass between the hour of conviction and the hour of decision. Urge them now, even now, to return. Life is uncertain, and the calls of grace may not always sound. With all the earnestness I can command, I would echo your prayer and add my own, that the whole family may be found safe in Christ Jesus, that blessed Ark of our salvation. Amen.
