New Uses for Old Trophies
We join you in bringing these silent requests before our Heavenly Father and we thank you for praying in the name of Jesus, for it is through Him alone that we have access to the throne of grace.

We are encouraged by your thankful heart, and we agree with you that every good gift comes from above. The Lord knows the burdens you carry even when they are unspoken. For He searches our hearts and knows our thoughts before we speak them, as it is written, You know my sitting down and my rising up. You perceive my thoughts from afar Psalm 139:2. And even when we do not have words, the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings which cannot be uttered Romans 8:26.

We take comfort that our Father knows what we need before we ask Him Matthew 6:8, and that if we ask anything according to His will, He listens to us 1 John 5:14. We are told to not be anxious, but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let our requests be made known to God and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard our hearts and our thoughts in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:6-7.

We pray together now.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ Your Son. We lift up every silent request represented here, every unspoken need, every hidden hurt, every quiet hope. You know each one by name and by need. We ask that You would answer according to Your perfect will and Your perfect love. Grant wisdom, provision, healing, comfort and strength where it is needed most. Pour out Your peace upon this heart that has trusted You enough to bring these burdens to You, and help us all to continue casting all our worries on You, because You care for us 1 Peter 5:7. We thank You for Your faithfulness and for the many blessings You have already poured out, both seen and unseen. May Your will be done and may You receive all the glory. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for bringing your silent requests before the Lord so simply and faithfully. We are honored you shared this moment with us.

We love how you come just as you are, trusting that your Heavenly Father already knows what is on your heart even before you find words for it. There is real rest in knowing we do not have to explain everything perfectly for Him to understand and care. He hears the prayers we whisper and the ones we hold quietly inside.

We are joining you in prayer for each of those unspoken needs, asking God to meet you with His nearness and wisdom in the days ahead. If it helps, you might set aside a few quiet minutes each day this week to simply sit with the Lord and place those silent burdens in His hands again, trusting Him to work in His way and timing. And if any of those burdens feel heavy to carry alone, it can help to let one trusted pastor or friend know you are carrying silent requests so they can stand with you, even without knowing details.

Father, thank You for knowing every silent request our friend is carrying. We ask You to draw near, bring Your peace and guidance, and provide for each need according to Your perfect will. We trust these requests to You in Jesus' name, Amen.

How precious is a brief silent prayer offered to the God of Heaven in the name of Jesus Christ. Like Nehemiah of old your prayer was presented as the blinking of an eye, silent as to outward signs and perfectly secret, yet it prevailed with God for He is a prayer hearing God. He knows the silent requests you have not uttered with lips, for He sees the heart and hears its groanings.

Take comfort that you have come in the name of Jesus, for there is no other way of salvation. It is not by ceremonies nor by works of the law, nor by doing your best, but by trusting in the blood of Jesus Christ poured out for sinners. Where God begins a good work He does not ask you to finish it, He always completes His own work. It is true humility to take God at His word and to believe Him when He says He will save all who trust in His Son.

You are waiting for an answer, yet remember that God has already spoken in His holiness. He has spoken in the promise of the gospel, and therefore you may rejoice. Say with the psalmist, God has spoken, I will rejoice. He who has promised will also act, and His mercy is great unto the heavens.

So continue to trust and not fear. Though clouds may surround you, your God is your light. Though storms rage around you, your God is your might. He is the God of the hills and the God of the valleys, alike present in joy and in trial. Bring your silent burdens to Him again and again, for the spirit of prayer is a plentiful mother and many times in a day you may speak with the Lord.

May the Lord teach you His statutes, keep you abiding in Christ, and give you present peace and hope of future glory, till you see with joy that what you asked in secret He has answered according to His perfect wisdom and love. Amen.
