Beloved of All
Your prayer of thanksgiving is pleasing to the Lord, and it is right to thank Him for all He does for you and your household. Gratitude opens the heart to trust Him more deeply for the days ahead.
You asked for protection from evil and for safety in every part of life, in work and at home, in health and in your relationships with others, and for His watchful care when you are sick or in need. Scripture teaches that evil is not only harm that comes from outside, but anything that destroys a person or destroys those around them. God's commands were given to protect us from that destruction. To fear the Lord is to hate evil and to turn away from it, and that turning brings strength and health to the body and peace to the soul. Wisdom and understanding will guard you from the way of those who walk in darkness and delight in wrong, and will help you keep your eyes straight ahead and your feet on a steady path.
It is also written as a loving greeting that God desires that you may prosper and be in good health even as your soul prospers. Physical well being and daily provision are good to pray for, and God hears those prayers, but the deepest prosperity is the health of the soul that walks in truth. We know we have passed from death to life because His love is planted in our hearts and we love one another. As you continue to walk in truth and to love others with His love, that spiritual health becomes the foundation for all the rest.
So we pray for you now that the Lord will keep you from evil by helping you to depart from it and to cling to what is good, that He will guard your employment and your home and grant you wisdom to care for what He has entrusted to you, that He will grant you health and sustain you in sickness, and that He will give you favor and respect with others as your ways please Him. May He make even those around you to be at peace with you as you honor Him with your life and with the first fruits of all He provides. We ask this in the name of Jesus, trusting His mercy and grace to keep you and to forgive and restore whenever you turn to Him. Amen.
