Lord help me!

Beloved of All
Please pray for me as I am struggling with lust and sex addiction. I am saved but I fail daily and have to repent and begin anew every day. I have a habitual problem of downloading sexual websites and looking at things I should avoid in my life. I have shame of myself for doing so and request that you would pray for strength & courage to stop looking at these things. Thank you in advance and may God bless you!

We hear your cry for help, and we stand with you in this battle, lifting you up before the throne of grace. Your honesty and humility in confessing this struggle are the first steps toward victory. The Word of God tells us, "No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it" (1 Corinthians 10:13). You are not alone in this fight, and the Lord has already provided a way out, you must take it.

First, we must rebuke the enemy who seeks to ensnare you in this sin. Lust is a tool of the devil to steal your joy, distort your view of God’s design for intimacy, and keep you in bondage. Jesus said, "The thief comes only to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly" (John 10:10). The shame you feel is not from God but from the accuser, who wants you to believe you are too far gone. But the blood of Jesus cleanses you from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9). You are not defined by your failures but by the righteousness of Christ.

We must also address the root of this struggle. Lust is often a counterfeit for deeper needs, loneliness, stress, boredom, or even a distorted view of love. The world sells sex as a commodity, but God designed it as a sacred gift within the covenant of marriage between one man and one woman. "Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4). Until you are married, your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit, and you are called to honor God with it (1 Corinthians 6:18-20). Flee from sexual immorality, not just the act, but the thoughts, images, and habits that lead to it.

Here are practical steps to walk in freedom:

1. Accountability: Confess this struggle to a trusted, mature believer who can pray with you and hold you accountable. "Confess your offenses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed" (James 5:16). There is no shame in seeking help, only in hiding.

2. Guard Your Eyes and Heart: Job said, "I made a covenant with my eyes not to look lustfully at a young woman" (Job 31:1). Install filters on your devices, avoid triggers, and fill your mind with Scripture instead. "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things" (Philippians 4:8).

3. Renew Your Mind: Replace lustful thoughts with God’s truth. Memorize verses like "How can a young man keep his way pure? By guarding it according to your word" (Psalm 119:9). Meditate on the love of Christ, who gave Himself for you, not to condemn you, but to set you free.

4. Fast from Media: If certain websites or media are stumbling blocks, consider a fast from them. Jesus said, "If your right eye causes you to stumble, pluck it out and throw it away" (Matthew 5:29). This is not about self-punishment but about removing obstacles to your freedom.

5. Walk in the Spirit: You cannot overcome this in your own strength. Galatians 5:16 says, "Walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh." Spend time in prayer, worship, and the Word daily. The Holy Spirit will empower you to say no to sin.

Let us pray for you now:

Heavenly Father, we come before You on behalf of our brother who is struggling with lust and sexual addiction. Lord, we thank You that he has come to You in honesty and humility, and we declare that Your grace is sufficient for him. We rebuke the spirit of lust and shame in Jesus’ name, and we break every chain that has kept him bound. Father, fill him with Your Holy Spirit and renew his mind with Your truth. Give him the strength to flee from temptation and the wisdom to guard his heart and eyes. Surround him with godly accountability and remind him daily of his identity in Christ, not as a slave to sin, but as a son of the Most High. Lord, we ask for complete deliverance and healing in this area. Restore his purity and help him to walk in the freedom You died to give him. We pray this in the mighty name of Jesus, the name above every name, the only name by which we are saved and set free. Amen.

Remember, victory is not the absence of struggle but the presence of Christ in the midst of it. You are not fighting for victory, you are fighting from victory because Jesus has already won. Keep pressing in, keep repenting when you fail, and keep your eyes on Him. "Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ" (Philippians 1:6). You are loved, you are forgiven, and you are not alone.

Oh brother, we’re praying for you right now, feeling the weight of this battle with you. There’s something so raw and honest in your words, and that’s where the power starts. You’re not just asking for strength; you’re already reaching out, and that’s the first step toward freedom.

We hear the shame trying to whisper that you’re beyond help, but let’s stand against that lie together. The truth is, Jesus doesn’t call the broken to perfection, He calls them to Himself. And He’s already there, waiting for you to come as you are. So let’s declare right now that the shame isn’t from God. It’s the enemy trying to keep you stuck in the past. But you’re not defined by your failures, you’re defined by the cross. And right now, we’re declaring that the blood of Jesus is washing you clean, moment by moment.

We’re praying that God would give you clarity, help you see what’s really beneath this struggle. Is it loneliness? Stress? A hunger for something deeper? Whatever it is, He wants to fill that void with His love, not leave you chasing empty things. And we’re asking Him to give you the courage to walk away, even when it feels impossible.

Let’s pray for you right now:
"Lord, we ask for Your strength to resist the first urge to open those sites, to pause before the thought even starts. Fill this brother’s mind with Your truth, surround him with accountability, and help him replace these habits with things that honor You. Give him the discipline to guard his heart and the faith to trust You in the waiting. And when he fails, because he will, remind him that Your mercy is bigger than his mistakes. We pray for a heart that’s free, a mind that’s renewed, and a life that reflects Your glory. In Jesus’ name, Amen."

You’re not alone in this. We’re cheering for you, praying for you, and standing with you every step of the way. Keep going, one repentant heart at a time. You’ve got this, not because you’re strong, but because He is.

Father please help them, us and all in need. Thank you and praise you. In Jesus name. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We want you to know how deeply we’ve carried your burden before the Lord these past days. Your honesty about the daily battle with lust and the cycle of shame touched our hearts, and we’ve prayed specifically for the chains of this addiction to be broken in Jesus’ mighty name. We asked the Holy Spirit to flood you with conviction that leads to repentance, not despair, and to remind you every morning that your identity is in Christ—not in your failures.

We also prayed for practical strength: that the Lord would erect guardrails around your eyes and hands, that He would fill your mind with Scripture when temptation arises, and that He would surround you with brothers who can hold you accountable. We asked Him to replace the temporary pleasure of sin with the lasting joy of His presence, and to help you see yourself through His eyes—as a beloved child, not a slave to shame.

If the Lord has already begun to answer this prayer in your life—even in small ways—we’d love to celebrate with you. Please share a praise report so we can rejoice together! If the struggle still feels overwhelming, don’t hesitate to post this request again. We’re committed to standing with you in prayer until victory is yours.

Keep pressing into the Father’s embrace. His grace is greater than your weakness, and His power is made perfect in your brokenness. We continue to pray for you in Jesus’ name.
