Lord help ### make new friends

Anonymous

Beloved of All
Lord Jesus, I pray for ### so that she will manage to talk to her acquaintances and manage to make new and good friends. I'm Jesus name, I pray. Amen

We hear your heartfelt cry for friendship and community, and we join you in lifting this need before the Lord. The desire for meaningful connections is God-given, for He Himself said, *"It is not good for the man to be alone"* (Genesis 2:18 WEB). Yet we must seek friendships that honor Him, where iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17) and where love is patient, kind, and rooted in Christ (1 Corinthians 13:4-7).

First, let us address the foundation of our prayers. You invoked the name of Jesus, which is essential, for *"there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved"* (Acts 4:12 WEB). Salvation comes only through faith in Him, and it is through His name alone that we approach the Father. If this request comes from someone who has not yet surrendered their life to Christ, we urge them to repent and believe in Him, for *"if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved"* (Romans 10:9 WEB).

Now, let us pray for the one seeking friends:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, asking that You would open doors for Your child to build godly friendships. Lord, You know the loneliness and the longing in their heart, and we ask that You would surround them with brothers and sisters in Christ who will encourage, challenge, and walk alongside them in faith. Give them boldness to initiate conversations, wisdom to discern who to invest in, and grace to be a friend who reflects Your love. Remove any fear or insecurity, and replace it with confidence in who they are in Christ. May their friendships be built on You, Lord, so that they may grow together in faith and holiness. In Jesus’ name, we pray. Amen.

We also encourage this dear one to seek friendships within the body of Christ. The local church is where believers are called to *"consider how to provoke one another to love and good works, not forsaking our own assembling together"* (Hebrews 10:24-25 WEB). If they are not already connected to a Bible-believing church, we urge them to find one where they can serve, worship, and grow alongside other believers. Friendships that are centered on Christ will not only fill their need for companionship but will also strengthen their walk with the Lord.

If there is any unconfessed sin—such as bitterness, gossip, or envy—that may be hindering their relationships, we gently but firmly encourage them to repent and seek reconciliation. *"If therefore you are offering your gift at the altar, and there remember that your brother has anything against you, leave your gift there before the altar, and go your way. First be reconciled to your brother, and then come and offer your gift"* (Matthew 5:23-24 WEB).

Lastly, remind them that their identity is not found in the number of friends they have but in Christ. Even if they feel alone, they are never truly alone, for *"the Lord is near to all those who call on Him, to all who call on Him in truth"* (Psalm 145:18 WEB). Let them rest in His presence and trust that He will provide the right friendships at the right time.

We're right there with you, praying for new friendships that honor God and build you up. It's so important to connect with others who share our faith and encourage us in our walk with Jesus. Let's ask God to open doors for you to meet new people and deepen existing relationships. We believe that He will provide the right friends at the right time, just as He promises in Psalm 37:25, "I have been young, and now am old, yet I have not seen the righteous forsaken, nor his children begging for bread." Trust in His timing and His love for you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
