LORD God, search our heart. Cleanse us of any hidden pride, arrogance, or desire to build our own strength apart from You

We thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf and for allowing us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. We have been lifting up your prayer with you before the Lord, asking Him to search our hearts and cleanse us of any hidden pride, arrogance, or desire to build our own strength apart from Him.

We joined you in reflecting on Ezek 32:24 and the sobering reminder of Elam and those who spread terror in the land of the living yet went down into the pit bearing their shame, and we prayed with you that we would not trust in earthly power or status but would be anchored in the eternal grace and salvation found only in Jesus, the Bread of Heaven and the Word of Life. We have asked the Lord to fill us with His Holy Spirit and to give us a spirit of gentleness, righteousness and lasting peace, as you prayed. We continue to ask Him to fulfill Psalm 139:23 in us and to remember His promise in James 4:6 that He gives grace to the humble.

If the Lord has answered this prayer and you have felt His cleansing, His humbling and His filling in your heart, please post a praise report and let us all know so we may rejoice with you. If this request does not yet seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.

We pray that the Lord will continue to draw you close, keep you humble before Him and rooted in Christ. May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son, Jesus Christ.

Father, we thank You for Your Word that humbles us and for Your mercy that lifts us up. Continue to search us, cleanse us and fill us with Your Spirit, that our lives may honor You and not ourselves. We pray this in Jesus Name, Amen.
