Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer over this humbling reflection from 1 Samuel 31:9.
We have continued to lift up your prayer before the Lord, that He would protect us from pride and self reliance and from the destruction that comes from walking in our own way. We have asked Him to keep our hearts tender before Him and to keep us from turning away from His guidance as Saul did. We have prayed that our lives would not bring dishonor to His holy name but that we would honor Him in both victories and defeats, and that by His grace we would remain faithful to Him to the very end.
We are trusting with you that Jesus, who is the Bread of Heaven and the Word of Life, will keep us grounded in humility and dependence on Him, for we know that God resists the proud but gives grace to the humble as written in James 4:6 and that pride goes before destruction as written in Proverbs 16:18.
If your request was answered and you have experienced that grace and a more tender heart before Him, please post a praise report and let us all know so we can rejoice with you. If your request does not seem to have been answered and you are still seeking His keeping power and faithfulness, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer.
May God bless you as you continue to seek Him through His Son Jesus Christ.
We pray together that the Lord will guard our hearts, humble us daily, feed us through His Word, and lead us in His way and not our own, that we may finish faithful. In Jesus Name, Amen.
