Jeremiah 30:10 says: "Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save thee from afar, and thy seed from the land of their captivity; and Jacob shall return, and shall be in rest, and be quiet, and none shall make him afraid."

A Prayer Based on Jeremiah 30:10:
Our prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your promise that we do not need to live in fear or anxiety. When we feel far away, overwhelmed, or burdened by the challenges around us, we thank You that You see us and that You are mighty to save.
LORD God, break every yoke of bondage, remove every weight of distress, and grant us Your divine peace. Help us to return to a place of deep rest and quietness in Your presence, knowing that You are our protector and our provider. Let no circumstance or fear make us dismayed, because we trust in Your word and Your unfailing love.
In Jesus' name, we pray.
Amen.

We join you in this powerful prayer and we say amen to your cry for the Lord to break every yoke of bondage, remove every weight of distress, and grant His divine peace.

We love how you have anchored this prayer in Jeremiah 30:10, for it reminds us that our God sees us even when we feel far away and overwhelmed, and He is mighty to save. Though this promise was first spoken to Jacob and Israel in their captivity, we as those grafted in through faith in Christ can claim the heart of this promise, that our God brings His people into rest and quietness where none shall make us afraid.

Your declaration that Jesus is the Bread of Heaven and the Word of Life is true and precious. As it is written John 1:1, In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God, and John 6:35, Jesus said to them, I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will not be hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty. It is only through Him that we have this peace and rest.

The Scripture assures us that the yoke you speak of will be broken, for Isaiah 10:27 says his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing. And Jesus Himself invites us in Matthew 11:28-30, Come to me, all you who labor and are heavily burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart; and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light. We exchange our heavy yoke of fear and distress for His easy yoke.

We also cling to Philippians 4:6-7, In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus. That divine peace you are asking for is not just a feeling but a guard over our hearts. And Isaiah 41:10 reminds us, Don't you be afraid, for I am with you. Don't be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness.

So we pray together with you now.

Heavenly Father, we thank You that we do not need to live in fear or be dismayed, for You are with us. We thank You for Your Word made flesh, Jesus Christ, our Bread of Heaven who sustains us. Lord, we ask in Jesus' name that You break every yoke of bondage that has weighed down Your people, lift every burden of distress and anxiety, and pour out Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Draw us into that deep rest and quietness in Your presence where we can be still and know that You are God as Psalm 46:10 says. Let no circumstance make us afraid, for You are our protector and provider, and we trust in Your unfailing love and Your promise to save and to give rest. Keep our hearts guarded in Christ Jesus. In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

Thank you for sharing this honest prayer with us. We hear your longing to have heavy burdens lifted and to know real peace and rest in God's presence, especially when life feels overwhelming or far from settled.

It makes sense that you would bring this to the Lord so directly. Wanting to be free from what weighs you down and to rest quietly with Him is a good and humble place to turn.

We are praying with you for that deeper rest and for wisdom as you walk through whatever is causing distress right now. You do not have to carry this alone. It can be a steady help to share openly with a trusted pastor, counselor, or another wise person who knows you, and if worry, tension or sleeplessness is persisting or making daily life harder, we gently encourage reaching out to your doctor or a counselor as well, alongside prayer, so you have support for both heart and body.

We will keep holding you in prayer as you keep seeking Him day by day.

Father, thank You that You see us when we feel burdened and far off. We ask You to draw near to our friend today, lift what is heavy, and give Your peace that steadies the heart. Lead them into quiet rest in Your presence and guide their next steps with wisdom and care. In Jesus' name, Amen.

Your prayer is heard, and the promise upon which you rest is sure and steadfast. Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the Lord, neither be dismayed, for lo, I will save thee from afar. When you feel far away, overwhelmed or burdened, remember that deliverance is by divine power. When Israel came out of Egypt it was Jehovah who brought forth His armies, and when any soul is saved from spiritual bondage it is the Lord Jesus who loosens the captive. That deliverance came when the Lamb was slain, and because God Himself has found a ransom, your liberty is certain.

You ask the Lord to break every yoke of bondage and remove every weight of distress. This is the very work of Christ. There is a bondage under sin, under the flesh and under the fear of man, and the result of that spirit of bondage is fear. But we have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear, but the Spirit of adoption whereby we cry, Abba, Father. The blood of Jesus whispers peace within, and where sin is pardoned through that blood, the conscience finds quiet. We cannot enjoy true peace as long as sin remains upon the conscience, but in the blood and righteousness of Jesus our peace is perfect.

You ask also for divine peace and rest, and this is the promise of our text, Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on Thee, because he trusteth in Thee. Rest in the Lord. Oh, what sweet precepts these are, easier to read than to practice, yet if grace is given we shall find them blessedly easy to practice. Surely if it is easy to rest anywhere, it must be easy to rest in the Lord. It is a present rest, rest now, not rest after death nor after a time of probation, but rest given when we come to Jesus, given there and then. And it is perfect rest too, for it is not said that He will give you partial rest, but rest, as much as if there were no other form of it.

This peace is a present possession and may be enjoyed in the ordinary circumstances of life, even by thronging duties pressed, for to do the will of Jesus, this is rest. To be sure that what you are doing is what Jesus would have you do is peace. Trust and you shall rest. Faith tones us down into little children and casts our heart in a fresh mold. Though the pillars of the earth be removed, there can be no fear when the truth of God is our mainstay and refuge, for the Eternal Himself cannot lie.

I join my prayer with yours, that the Lord would draw you to the mercy seat, for God loves the mercy seat and is there to meet you. May you by an act of instantaneous faith recline upon the promise and find that perfect peace which gleams with heavenly light even in the midnight of this world of care. May you know that you are accepted in the Beloved, justified by faith, and have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, and being delivered from the noise of archers, may you sit by the well and be refreshed, delighting yourself in the abundance of peace.

Heavenly Father, we thank Thee that Thou seest Thy people afar off and art mighty to save. Break every yoke, lift every burden of despair, and keep Thy child in perfect peace, with mind stayed upon Christ, our Bread of Heaven and Word of Life. Grant deep rest and quietness in Thy presence, that none may make us afraid, for we trust in Thy unfailing love through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen.
