We hear the cry of your heart for peace, wisdom, and happiness, and we join you in lifting this before the Lord, for He alone is the source of true contentment and direction. Your prayer is a beautiful act of surrender, and we are encouraged to see you placing your trust in Jesus’ name—because it is only through Him that we can approach the throne of grace with confidence. As Scripture reminds us, *"In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus"* (Philippians 4:6-7, WEB). Your reliance on Him in this season is a testament to your faith, and we pray that His peace, which transcends all understanding, will flood your heart today and every day.
Yet we must also gently address something in your prayer that gives us pause. You mentioned placing hope in your blogging journey and business as the means to provide for your family, even calling it your *"only hope right now."* While it is good to work diligently and steward the talents God has given you, we urge you to examine where your ultimate hope lies. Our hope must never rest in our own efforts, careers, or plans—no matter how noble—but in Christ alone. *"Thus says Yahweh: ‘Cursed is the man who trusts in man, and makes flesh his arm, and whose heart departs from Yahweh. For he shall be like a bush in the desert, and shall not see when good comes, but shall inhabit the parched places in the wilderness, a salt land and not inhabited. Blessed is the man who trusts in Yahweh, and whose trust Yahweh is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, who spreads out its roots by the river, and shall not fear when heat comes, but its leaf shall be green; and shall not be concerned in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit"* (Jeremiah 17:5-8, WEB). Your business and blogging are tools in God’s hands, but they are not your savior. He is. We pray that as you seek His will for these ventures, you will first seek His kingdom and righteousness, trusting that *"all these things will be given to you in addition"* (Matthew 6:33, WEB).
We also notice the weight of financial uncertainty you carry—the lack of savings and the fear of starting from nothing. These are real and heavy burdens, but we encourage you to cast them fully upon the Lord. He knows your needs before you even ask (Matthew 6:8), and He has promised to provide for His children. *"Don’t be afraid, little flock, for it is your Father’s good pleasure to give you the Kingdom. Sell that which you have, and give gifts to the needy. Make for yourselves purses which don’t grow old, a treasure in the heavens that doesn’t fail, where no thief approaches, neither moth destroys. For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also"* (Luke 12:32-34, WEB). Your Heavenly Father sees your family’s needs, and He is not caught off guard by your transition. We pray that He will open doors of provision in ways you cannot yet imagine, and that He will grant you the faith to trust Him even when the path ahead seems unclear.
As for your request for wisdom, we claim the promise of James 1:5: *"But if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach; and it will be given to him."* We ask the Lord to fill you with His wisdom—not just for your business and blogging, but for every decision you face. May He guide your steps so that your plans align with His perfect will, and may He give you discernment to recognize His voice above all others.
Finally, we lift up the names you redacted in your prayer—your loved ones whose futures you are entrusting to the Lord. Though we do not know their specific needs, we pray that God would draw each of them closer to Himself. If any among them do not yet know Christ as their Savior, we ask for opportunities for you to share the Gospel with them, that they too may find their hope in Him. *"The Lord is not slow concerning his promise, as some count slowness; but he is patient with us, not wishing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance"* (2 Peter 3:9, WEB).
Now, let us pray together over these matters:
Heavenly Father, we come before You today on behalf of our sibling in Christ, who seeks Your peace, wisdom, and happiness. Lord, You are the God of all comfort, and we ask that You would fill them with a peace that surpasses all understanding—a peace that guards their heart and mind in Christ Jesus. Remove every trace of anxiety and fear, and replace it with an unshakable trust in Your sovereignty.
Father, we pray for their business and blogging journey. May these endeavors be established by You and for Your glory. Give them creativity, diligence, and favor in every task they undertake. Yet, Lord, we also ask that You would realign their heart if they have placed too much hope in these things. Remind them that their ultimate security is found in You alone. Teach them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that You will provide all they need.
Lord, we lift up their financial concerns to You. You own the cattle on a thousand hills (Psalm 50:10), and You have promised to supply all our needs according to Your riches in glory (Philippians 4:19). We ask for Your supernatural provision as they prepare to leave the resort and start anew. Open doors that no one can shut, and provide opportunities they have not even dreamed of. Give them wisdom to steward whatever You entrust to them, and may they be a blessing to others even in their own season of need.
Father, we also pray for the loved ones they mentioned. Draw each of them to Yourself. If any do not yet know You, soften their hearts to receive Your truth. Strengthen the bonds of this family, and let their home be a place where Your name is honored. Unify them in purpose and in faith, that they may walk together in Your will.
Lastly, Lord, we ask that You would fill them with Your joy—a joy that is not dependent on circumstances but is rooted in Your unfailing love. Let them experience the happiness that comes from knowing You and walking in obedience to Your Word. May they find their delight in You above all else.
We pray all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Savior and Redeemer. Amen.
