Lord forgive any response towards my persecutors that was not Christlike. If I was guilty of gossip, slander and cursing my enemy please forgive me. Give me a new spirit towards my former friend. Help me respond in God’s way, and let this person be blessed with some conviction from the Holy Spirit. Help my prayers pave the way for us both to grow in the character of Christ and help me guard my heart from bitterness. Amen.
