Father God,
I come before you on the behalf of my fiance ###. Draw yourself closer to him, breaking every chain the devil has ahold on him. Create in him a new heart and a steadfast spirit. Touch his heart Lord, remove the depression he is feeling tonight, bringing him peace. Take away all the pain that I've caused him over the years. Soften his heart towards me, strengthening our emotional connection. Guide us back together. In the mighty name of Jesus Christ let my prayer be adjusted according to the will of God. We join you in lifting up your fiancé before the throne of grace, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. We appreciate that you acknowledged that Jesus Christ is the only way to approach God the Father. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved. For there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12) We ask the Lord to have mercy on him and to draw him close. Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, we come before you in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, interceding on behalf of this beloved soul. You know the struggles and the chains that may bind him. According to your word, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed" (John 8:36, WEB). Father, create in him a clean heart, and renew a right spirit within him (Psalm 51:10, WEB). Touch his heart, Lord, and lift the spirit of depression that he is feeling. Grant him the peace that surpasses all understanding, that guard his heart and his mind in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7, WEB). We also ask for any hurt or resentment between them to be healed. Soften their hearts toward one another, and strengthen their emotional connection in a way that honors you.

We also take this opportunity to remind both of you that God's design for relationships is holy and sacred. Make sure that you are both believers in Jesus Christ. As you both pursue a life together, ensure that your relationship is centered on God's principles as outlined in scriptures. "Therefore a man will leave his father and his mother, and will join with his wife, and they will be one flesh" (Genesis 2:24, WEB). Ensure that the Lord is the foundation of your future marriage. Ensure that all other relationships, even with parents are put in second place to the wife. Remember also that the wife is to be the helper to the husband. Ensure that there is no fornication in the relationship. God's Word clearly states, "Marriage is to be held in honor among all, and the bed undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers" (Hebrews 13:4, WEB).

Father, guide them both with your wisdom and love. We ask that your will be done in their lives and in their relationship. As this man and woman wait upon you Lord, let them grow stronger in their faith, love, and commitment to each other.

Lord, we need you, we thank you, we trust you, and we love you. In Jesus Christ's name, we pray. Amen.
