LORD, BRING REPENTANCE TO THE WORLD!
From that time on Jesus began to preach, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is near.†Matthew 4:17
We have less than three weeks before Resurrection Sunday! Will you start praying and planning that you and believers around the world will start inviting family members and friends to their church services? In my church bulletin I received the first postcard announcing the four services at our church, putting on an Easter presentation, He Reigns. I realized yesterday afternoon, I could attend four different services and invite many standers, friends and loved ones to our church services.
Will you join me inviting others to your church services? We can bring others to our church services on Palm Sunday, during Holy Week and then Easter. Let us be the lighthouses in this dark world as we have something to celebrate. We need to remember that Jesus Christ paid the ultimate price of shedding His Blood on the Cross and now we can rejoice every day that our Lord Jesus Christ is alive! He arose!
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because he has not believed in the name of God's one and only Son.†John 3:16-18
I pray that as you start making plans to get together with your family or friends, you will spend much time praying for your husband or wife, loved ones, friends and co-workers you know personally who do not know the Lord. In fact, write a list of people's names you want to come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives. Put your list in your Bible and pray for them daily for the next three weeks. If you have flyers for your church services, pass them out and give them to people who you will meet for the next several days. There are many peoples' hearts that are convicted, touched and transformed near or on Resurrection Sunday. Let us pray for a mighty harvest of souls to be touched with lives changed forever!
Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. The promise is for you and your children and for all who are far off - for all whom the Lord our God will call.†With many other words he warned them; and he pleaded with them, “Save yourselves from this corrupt generation.†Acts 2:38-40
We have heard for years how spouses, children, parents, and family members come to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives. When you hear testimony after testimony of where men and women have been and see the hand of God touching and delivering people from lives of sexual immorality, pornography, alcohol, drugs, and gambling, you believe and know the power of our Lord Jesus Christ. Nothing is too hard for God.
Do you know how your friends came to know the Lord Jesus Christ? Ask your friends at church and others for their testimony of how they came to know Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord of their lives. You will be blessed and encouraged as you hear all the different ways that God has spoken to His lost children, bringing them to salvation. God speaks to every sinner including your spouse. Let me share a story about Paul and Silas in jail.
Paul had just cast out a spirit out of a slave girl who predicted the future and the owner realized he had lost his income in making any more money from her. The owner and others dragged Paul and Silas before the magistrates and they ordered them to be stripped and beaten. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison with shackles on their feet. Look at what happens at the mostly unlikely place.
About midnight Paul and Silas were praying and singing hymns to God, and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors flew open, and everybody's chains came loose. The jailer woke up, and when he saw the prison doors open, he drew his sword and was about to kill himself because he thought the prisoners had escaped. But Paul shouted, “Don't harm yourself! We are all here!â€
The jailer called for lights, rushed in and fell trembling before Paul and Silas. He then brought them out and asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?†They replied, “Believe in the Lord Jesus, and you will be saved—you and your household.†Then they spoke the word of the Lord to him and to all the others in his house. At that hour of the night the jailer took them and washed their wounds; then immediately he and all his family were baptized. The jailer brought them into his house and set a meal before them; he was filled with joy because he had come to believe in God—he and his whole family. Acts 16:22-34
God moves around the clock touching and speaking to His children who have wandered off onto a detour road of sin, rebellion and disobedience. God is also speaking to sinners who do not believe in God or think that they don’t need God, but God has a plan and purpose for their lives.
Will you join thousands of others to pray for prodigals to repent and turn from their sinful lifestyle and turn to the Lord Jesus Christ for their salvation? Pray the Holy Spirit will speak loudly in their ears to cause spouses, sons, daughters, all your loved ones, neighbors and friends to repent and turn from their wrongful ways. May they be at a place in their life to call on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Are you depressed, weary, tired of hurting, feeling such pain of rejection, loneliness and hopelessness this week? I pray that you will humble yourself today, crying out to the Lord for His healing touch of love, compassion, mercy and grace to heal your wounded bleeding heart. He will help you right now in your time of need. God knows your deepest needs and your heart’s desires, so trust Him in moving some mountains in your life, suddenly.
Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:16
This week pray, believing, praising, thanking the Lord Jesus Christ that He is working in you, your spouse and your children’s hearts and lives on the other side of your mountain of marriage problems. May prodigal spouses around the world have their hardened heart softened, repenting and having a heart transformation during this month of April. Lord, bring a revival to our world now!
Have a blessed day,
