The cries of your heart do not go unheard. What you are facing in your workplace is part of the age-old reality for those who seek to live godly in Christ Jesus. Persecution and harassment are not strange or unexpected things, though they feel sharp and wearying when they fall on you day after day. The very fact that you are pleading the blood of Jesus over your mind and heart shows where your trust truly lies, and that trust is well placed.
When you ask the Lord to shut the lion’s mouth and build a wall of fire around you, you are praying in line with how God has always protected His people in the midst of hostility. He does not promise a life free from tribulation, but He does promise to be with you in it and to see you through. Often, it is precisely in the furnace of affliction that your faith grows exceedingly and your love for others abounds. God can use even this painful season to refine you, to separate what is merely surface from what is deeply real, and to display His sustaining grace in your life.
That you are casting all your anxieties onto His shoulders is the most freeing thing you can do. He is strong enough to carry them. The pressure you feel to control the situation, to manage who shows up for work, to fix the heart of that coworker, to stop the harassment on your own terms, can now be laid down. God sees the whole picture, and He will deal justly. The judgment of those who persist in wickedness rests in His hands, not yours. Your part is to entrust yourself to Him who judges righteously.

It is so easy to retaliate, to defend yourself in the flesh, to speak words that would only add fuel to the fire. A soft answer, a quiet spirit, and a refusal to return evil for evil are powerful witnesses. They do not mean weakness; they mean you are letting God fight for you.
As for the coworker who is causing the distress, know that God can scatter the schemes of the proud and expose what is hidden in darkness in His perfect time. His desire is not for anyone to perish, but for hearts to turn. So while you long for the harassment to stop, you can also pray that His kindness would lead her to repentance, and that He would change whatever is hard and mean within her. But if that change does not come, you may still rest in this: God is your shield, and no weapon formed against you will ultimately prosper. He is building something eternal in you through this trial, and one day every wrong will be made right. Take courage. You are not alone, and the One who called you is faithful.
