We join you in lifting up this time of rest to our Heavenly Father, who never slumbers nor sleeps but watches over His children with unfailing love. Your prayer is a beautiful act of surrender, and we are encouraged to see you acknowledging the Lord’s strength in your day and entrusting your worries to Him. It is by His grace alone that we find peace, and we commend you for seeking His presence as you rest.
The Scriptures remind us of the importance of casting our cares upon the Lord, for He cares for us deeply. *"Cast all your worries on him, because he cares for you."* (1 Peter 5:7, WEB) And in Psalm 4:8, we read, *"In peace I will both lay myself down and sleep, for you, Yahweh alone, make me live in safety."* What a comfort it is to know that our rest is guarded by the One who holds all things in His hands!
We also rejoice that you closed your prayer in the name of Jesus, for it is only through Him that we have access to the Father. As Scripture declares, *"There is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus"* (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB). It is by His name—and His name alone—that we are saved, and it is in His name that we boldly approach the throne of grace.
Now, let us pray together for you as you rest:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for Your child who has come before You with a heart of gratitude and trust. Lord, as they lay down to rest, we ask that You would surround them with Your peace, which surpasses all understanding. Quiet their mind, calm their spirit, and renew their strength as they sleep. May Your angels encamp around them, guarding them from all harm and filling their dreams with visions of Your goodness.
Father, we pray that when they awaken, they would rise with a heart full of faith, ready to walk in the strength and purpose You have prepared for them. Let them feel Your presence in every moment of the day ahead, knowing that You are their refuge and their strength. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may walk in wisdom, love, and boldness for Your glory.
We rebuked any spirit of anxiety, fear, or restlessness that may seek to disturb their rest. By the authority of Jesus Christ, we command these spirits to flee, for *"God didn’t give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control"* (2 Timothy 1:7, WEB). Let Your perfect love cast out all fear, and may they wake refreshed and ready to serve You with joy.
We ask all these things in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Rest well, dear one, for the Lord is your keeper. *"He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither slumber nor sleep."* (Psalm 121:3-4, WEB) May you wake with a heart full of praise and a spirit ready to embrace the day He has made.
