We hear your distress and the deep longing of your heart to be free from troubling dreams and unwanted influences in your life. First, let us affirm that our God is sovereign over all things, including our dreams, and He desires for you to walk in peace and purity of mind. The Bible tells us in Philippians 4:6-7, "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus."

However, we must gently but firmly address a few concerns in your prayer. You mentioned "wanted dead" people, and we want to rebuke any thought or desire that does not align with the sanctity of life. Scripture is clear in Exodus 20:13, "You shall not murder." Life is sacred, and we must never entertain thoughts that contradict God’s commandments. If there is bitterness, unforgiveness, or anger toward anyone, we urge you to release it to the Lord. Ephesians 4:31-32 says, "Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you."

We also notice that your prayer did not explicitly acknowledge the authority of Jesus Christ as the only mediator between God and man. 1 Timothy 2:5 states, "For there is one God and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." It is only through His name that we have access to the Father, and it is only by His blood that we are cleansed and set free. If you have not yet surrendered your life to Jesus, we encourage you to do so today. Romans 10:9 says, "If you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved."

Now, let us pray together over your request:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, the name above every name. Lord, we rebuke every unclean spirit, every dream, and every influence that does not align with Your will for ’s life. We bind and cancel every assignment of the enemy meant to bring confusion, fear, or unwanted connections. Father, we declare that ’s mind is guarded by the peace of Christ, and we ask that You fill their sleep with Your presence, Your truth, and Your rest. Lord, if there is any unforgiveness, bitterness, or ungodly desire in ’s heart, we ask that You reveal it and help them release it to You. Cleanse their heart and mind with the blood of Jesus, and renew their thoughts according to Your Word.

Father, we also pray for the restoration of godly relationships in ’s life. If there are people You desire to bring back into their life for Your purposes, we ask that You orchestrate those connections in a way that honors You. But Lord, if there are relationships that are not of You, relationships that lead to sin, compromise, or ungodly influence, we ask that You sever those ties and give the strength to walk away. Help them to seek relationships that reflect Your love, Your holiness, and Your purpose.

We declare that is covered by the blood of Jesus, and no weapon formed against them shall prosper. We thank You, Lord, for Your protection, Your peace, and Your faithfulness. May wake up refreshed, renewed, and anchored in Your truth. In Jesus’ victorious name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to stand firm in your faith and to fill your mind with Scripture. Psalm 119:11 says, "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." Meditate on God’s promises, and trust that He is working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). If these dreams persist, consider fasting and praying for breakthrough, and seek godly counsel from a pastor or mature believer who can stand with you in prayer. You are not alone, God is with you, and He is fighting for you.

It’s clear from your words that you’re carrying a heavy weight of grief and a deep ache for people you love, some of whom are no longer here, and others you desperately wish were close again. That kind of missing, the hollow, unfinished ache of it, can spill into every part of life, even into our dreams. We’re sorry you’re hurting like this. When the night brings restless images and your heart wakes up still longing, it’s okay to name that pain and bring it all to Jesus, who held onto love even while his own friends and world fell apart.

We join you in asking God to guard your sleep. You can trust him with your nights: nothing you see there escapes his care. When you wake up unsettled, you might try simply saying, “Jesus, hold my mind,” and let that become your first thought. As you continue to grieve, giving yourself permission to tell God exactly what you miss and why it hurts, without trying to tidy it up, can be a quiet act of faith. He is close to those whose hearts are broken, not with trite answers, but with his own nearness.

We pray with you now: Lord, see this precious one and the grief they carry. Hold them steady in the flood of memories and sorrow. Give them restful sleep, and let your peace settle over their dreams. Comfort them with the sure hope that nothing, not even death, can separate them from your love or from the promise of reunion in your presence. In Jesus’ strong name, amen.

You bring your dreams before the Lord, and it is good that you flee to Him in your distress. The terrors of the night, the shadows that flit across the mind when sleep loosens the reins of reason, these must be carried to the mercy-seat. Yet be careful how you frame your requests. You pray to “rebuke, reject, resist, bind out, and cancel” every dream that does not involve your close relations and that includes those you wish to see no more. Remember that the Lord sends afflictions, and even in our slumber He may do His refining work. “Troubles do not spring out of the dust, neither does affliction grow up from the ground like hemlock from the furrows of the field, but the Lord, Himself, kindles the fiery furnace and sits as a Refiner at the door.” Do not become so earnest to bind and curse what may be a voice of warning or instruction. Instead, pray, “Search me, O God, and know my heart; try me, and know my thoughts.” If the Lord delivers you from the power of darkness, it is by His grace alone; none can command Him as though they had authority over the powers of the air. “Deliverance from a cruel captivity, like that of Israel in Egypt, must be worked by the hand and outstretched arm of Jehovah, alone!”

You speak of persons you would have removed from your life, and you beg the Lord to give back “wanted dead and wanted people.” I know not what you mean exactly, but the words sound a note of sorrowful anxiety. Have you lost loved ones in death? The Lord has given, and the Lord has taken away; blessed be the name of the Lord. It is not ours to demand their return from the grave, for that would be to ask for a sign before the appointed time. Our comfort lies not in seeing them again in this vale of tears, but in the sure hope of a glorious reunion in that land where there is no more death. Fix your eyes on Jesus, who is the resurrection and the life. If, instead, your desire runs after those with whom you have sinned or who have led you into sin, then beware. “Deliverance from sin is solely by the power of God!” and He calls you to sanctification, not to the rekindling of those associations which breed darkness. “He has delivered us from the power of darkness,” and He would have us walk as children of light. The rod of God upon your soul in the night may be His way of saying, “Come out from among them, and be ye separate.”

You beg for a swift answer, but learn to wait upon the Lord. “How small, too, the faith of our most faithful prayers!” He often delays that He may enlarge our trust. The deliverance He gives is never late, though it seem to tarry. “His prayer was answered at the right time. Five minutes afterwards he would have been dead.” The Lord knows the precise moment when to speak peace to the troubled heart. Do not set your will above His wisdom; let His counsel stand. The comfort of the believer lies not in dictating to God the exact shape of deliverance, but in knowing that “Jehovah Jesus wears upon His breast-plate the names of His people and He has not torn one of the gems from its setting.” Your name is there, if you be His, and not a single arrow of the enemy can pluck you from His hand.

Turn, then, from trying to bind every unwelcome thought, and look to Christ. “Do you remember the place, the spot of ground where Jesus met with you?” If you know His love, then rest in it. That love “stoops from the highest Heaven, reaches down to the gates of the deepest Hell, thrusts its arms up to the very elbows in the mire to pull these accursed ones out of the pit.” He that loved you so will not leave you to be devoured by fears or by false desires. Instead of gripping the terrors of the night, commend your sleeping hours into His keeping and awake to “declare the works of the Lord.” He who keeps Israel neither slumbers nor sleeps, and He will keep you in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on Him because you trust in Him.
