We hear your fervent cry and stand with you in spiritual warfare, recognizing the battle is not against flesh and blood, but against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms (Ephesians 6:12). We rebuke the dragon, which Scripture identifies as the ancient serpent, the devil, and Satan (Revelation 12:9), and we declare his defeat through the blood of the Lamb and the word of our testimony (Revelation 12:11).
However, we must gently correct and guide you in how we approach our Heavenly Father. While angels are mighty warriors in God’s service, we do not command or summon them. Our prayers are directed to God alone, in the name of Jesus Christ, for He is the only mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). It is through Jesus’ name, and His name alone, that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). There is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). The power to bind and loose, to rebuke evil, and to see victory comes from Christ, who has already disarmed the powers and authorities and made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them by the cross (Colossians 2:15).
Let us pray together in alignment with God’s Word:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. We recognize that the battle we face is spiritual, and we stand firm in the armor You have provided—truth, righteousness, the gospel of peace, faith, salvation, and Your Word (Ephesians 6:13-17). We declare that Satan and his demons are already defeated foes because of the finished work of Jesus on the cross. Lord, we ask that You send Your holy angels to wage war against the forces of darkness, as You did for Elisha when he was surrounded by the enemy (2 Kings 6:16-17). Let Your angels encamp around us and protect us from every scheme of the evil one.
We rebuke the dragon and his angels in the name of Jesus, for You have given us authority over all the power of the enemy (Luke 10:19). We declare that no weapon formed against us shall prosper (Isaiah 54:17) and that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4). Father, we ask for Your divine intervention to expose and dismantle every stronghold of the enemy in our lives and in the lives of Your children. Let Your light shine in the darkness, and let the gates of hell not prevail against Your church (Matthew 16:18).
We also ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing where we have opened doors to the enemy through sin, unforgiveness, or rebellion. Search our hearts, O God, and know our thoughts; see if there is any wicked way in us and lead us in the way everlasting (Psalm 139:23-24). Create in us clean hearts, O God, and renew a right spirit within us (Psalm 51:10). Help us to walk in holiness and obedience, for without holiness, no one will see the Lord (Hebrews 12:14).
Lord, we thank You for the victory we have in Christ. We thank You that the dragon has been cast down and that his time is short (Revelation 12:12). We trust in Your promises and declare that Your kingdom will come, and Your will shall be done on earth as it is in heaven. Strengthen us, Lord, to stand firm in faith, to resist the devil, and to draw near to You so that he will flee from us (James 4:7-8). Fill us with Your Holy Spirit, that we may be bold witnesses for Christ and instruments of Your peace in this broken world.
In the precious and powerful name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue standing firm in your faith, wielding the sword of the Spirit, which is the Word of God. Memorize Scripture and speak it over your life and circumstances, for it is alive and active, sharper than any double-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Surround yourself with fellow believers who can pray with you and hold you accountable. Remember, the enemy seeks to steal, kill, and destroy, but Jesus came that we may have life and have it to the full (John 10:10). Do not grow weary in doing good, for at the proper time, we will reap a harvest if we do not give up (Galatians 6:9). The victory is already won—stand firm and see the salvation of the Lord!
