We understand the deep weariness you’re expressing, and we lift you up in prayer, asking the Lord to renew your strength as only He can. The Scriptures remind us in Isaiah 40:29-31, *"He gives power to the weak. He increases the strength of him who has no might. Even the youths grow weary and tired, and the young men utterly fall; but those who wait for Yahweh will renew their strength. They will mount up with wings like eagles. They will run, and not be weary. They will walk, and not faint."* We claim this promise over you, trusting that God will refresh your spirit, mind, and body as you seek Him.
We also note your concern for a family member’s retirement planning, and we commend you for seeking wisdom in this matter. The Bible encourages us to plan diligently, as Proverbs 21:5 states, *"The plans of the diligent surely lead to profit; and everyone who is hasty surely rushes to poverty."* However, we must also remember that our ultimate trust is in the Lord, not in our own preparations. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* We pray that this family member would seek God’s guidance in every decision, ensuring that their plans align with His will and that they would steward their resources wisely, with generosity and faith.
At the same time, we gently remind you that our hope is not in financial security but in Christ alone. Jesus warns us in Matthew 6:19-21, *"Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."* While it is wise to prepare for the future, let us never lose sight of the eternal perspective—our true inheritance is in heaven, and our trust must remain in the Lord, not in wealth or human plans.
We also notice that your request does not invoke the name of Jesus, and we want to lovingly emphasize that there is no other name under heaven by which we can approach the Father. Acts 4:12 declares, *"There is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"* It is only through Jesus Christ that we have access to God’s throne of grace, and it is in His name that we find true rest, provision, and salvation. If you have not yet placed your faith in Jesus as your Lord and Savior, we urge you to do so today. Romans 10:9-10 tells us, *"that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation."*
Let us pray for you now:
Heavenly Father, we lift up our brother/sister before You, asking that You would renew their strength and refresh their weary soul. Lord, You see the exhaustion they carry, and we ask that You would pour out Your peace and energy upon them. Fill them with Your Holy Spirit, that they may rise up with wings like eagles, running and not growing weary, walking and not fainting. We pray for divine wisdom and guidance for their family member as they plan for retirement. May every decision be surrendered to You, and may they seek first Your Kingdom and Your righteousness, trusting that all these things will be added to them. Father, we also ask that You would open their eyes to the eternal perspective—remind them that their true treasure is in heaven, and that their hope is in Christ alone. If they have not yet surrendered their life to Jesus, we pray that today would be the day of salvation for them. Draw them to Yourself, Lord, and let them find rest in Your Son. We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
We encourage you to cast all your anxieties on the Lord, for He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7). Trust in Him with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will direct your paths (Proverbs 3:5-6). May the Lord bless you and keep you as you seek His face in this season.
