Beloved of All
Thank you for sharing your heart so honestly and for remembering to give thanks for the healings God has already done. That gratitude honors Him, and it is a good foundation for bringing these new needs to Him. He does care, He does see you and your family, and He hears when you call on Him.
I am joining you in prayer for healing for your teeth and for the teeth of your mother and your grandmother. Tooth pain and dental trouble can affect so much of daily life, and Jesus showed again and again how much He cares about that kind of suffering. When He walked among people He healed many kinds of sickness, and the Scriptures connect that compassion to the prophecy in Isaiah that He bore our infirmities and our sicknesses, which Matthew applies to physical healing as well as to the healing of sin. When we remember the bread broken for us, we are reminded that His body was given for our wholeness. He has authority in the physical realm and in the spiritual realm, and no need is too small for Him to care about.
Scripture also shows that God does not heal in only one way. Sometimes healing was immediate with a touch or a word, sometimes it was gradual, as with the man who at first saw people like trees walking before his sight became clear. Sometimes Jesus was present and touched someone, sometimes He simply spoke and the person was healed at a distance. In the same way today, all true healing is from God. He has placed healing processes within our bodies, and that natural process is still divine because He is the One who created nature and its processes. Whether healing comes in a moment or slowly over time through care, treatment, and the body's own restoration, we can thank Him for it.
I am also praying for your family members with autism and Aspergers. God is able to bring healing to the body and also to the mind and emotions, to heal wounds and scars that others may not see. At the same time, there is much about healing that we do not fully understand. We do not always know why some are healed quickly and others are not, even when we pray with faith. The apostle Paul prayed three times for his thorn in the flesh to be removed, and God answered in a different way according to His wisdom. That does not mean we stop praying, it means we keep trusting the One who loves us and knows what is best, while we continue to ask Him for mercy and help.
The early church made prayer for the sick a regular and important practice, with believers and elders praying together and bringing needs to the Lord. I want to pray for you now in that same spirit.
Father, in the name of Jesus I bring this dear one and this family before You. Thank You for the healings You have already given. I ask You to touch teeth that are hurting and in need of repair, for this person, for their mother, and for their grandmother. Bring relief from pain, bring restoration, and guide them to the right care. I also lift up the family members with autism and Aspergers. Touch their minds and bodies, grant peace, understanding, and strength for each day, and show Your healing power in whatever way You choose. Give this family comfort, wisdom, and assurance of Your love, and help them to keep looking to Jesus who bore our infirmities. Amen.
