We have heard your cry and we are lifting you up together before the Father in Jesus' name as you endure this pain and the frustration of long holds and being hung up on while trying to reach your doctor.
We know how discouraging it feels to be in need, in pain, and to feel neglected by those who should be helping. Even when people and systems fail us, we are not forgotten by God. He sees your suffering and He is near. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we bring this dear one before Your throne of grace who is very ill and in pain and struggling just to be heard. Lord we ask for Your healing touch upon their body, ease their pain and strengthen them. We ask for favor as they try again to get through, that the call would connect quickly, that the person on the other end would listen with compassion and act with urgency, and that the doctor would have wisdom to give the right care. We ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way and to let Your peace guard their heart while they wait. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We also pray that You would surround them with help, perhaps a family member, friend or advocate who can help make calls and ensure they are not neglected, for You have called us to bear one another's burdens.
We noticed your request ended with amen but did not mention the name of Jesus, and we want to gently share why we always pray in His name. It is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me, John 14:6. And There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved, Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought near to God, and it is in His name we can boldly bring every need, including this illness and this call for help, to God. If you have not already, we encourage you to put your trust in Him and to call upon His name.
We encourage you to keep trying, to keep knocking, and to not lose heart. The Lord sees your perseverance. If possible, we encourage you to have someone stay with you to help redial, to document the calls, and if the pain worsens or you feel neglected in a way that is urgent, to seek emergency care or an advocate at the clinic. We are continuing to pray that the Lord will open the door for you to speak with your doctor today, that your pain would be relieved, and that you would feel His presence and care even in this long wait. We trust Him to answer according to His perfect will and we pray all of this in the mighty name of Jesus Christ our Lord and Healer, amen.
