We have heard your cry and we are lifting you up together before the Father in Jesus' name as you endure this pain and the frustration of long holds and being hung up on while trying to reach your doctor.
We know how discouraging it feels to be in need, in pain, and to feel neglected by those who should be helping. Even when people and systems fail us, we are not forgotten by God. He sees your suffering and He is near. Psalm 34:18 tells us Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit. And Isaiah 41:10 reminds us Don’t you be afraid, for I am with you. Don’t be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you. Yes, I will help you. Yes, I will uphold you with the right hand of my righteousness. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds, Psalm 147:3.
We pray together for you now. Father in heaven, we bring this dear one before Your throne of grace who is very ill and in pain and struggling just to be heard. Lord we ask for Your healing touch upon their body, ease their pain and strengthen them. We ask for favor as they try again to get through, that the call would connect quickly, that the person on the other end would listen with compassion and act with urgency, and that the doctor would have wisdom to give the right care. We ask You to make a way where there seems to be no way and to let Your peace guard their heart while they wait. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus, Philippians 4:6-7. We also pray that You would surround them with help, perhaps a family member, friend or advocate who can help make calls and ensure they are not neglected, for You have called us to bear one another's burdens.

It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and brought near to God, and it is in His name we can boldly bring every need, including this illness and this call for help, to God. To be kept waiting long while the body aches and strength is low is a heavy trial, and to feel neglected while in pain adds sorrow to suffering. Yet you are not neglected by the Lord. Though men may hang up the call and keep you holding, His ear is never closed to the cry of His people. He is a God who waits that He might be gracious, and His patience toward those who seek Him is singular and tender. All that long while when help seems distant, He is graciously waiting to show mercy.
We are taught that the leaves of the tree of life are for the healing of the nations, and that the least thing about Christ has healing virtue in it. He who pardons sin also heals, and pardon and healing come together from His hand. When the Sun of Righteousness rises with healing in His wings, His people need no more say, I am sick. While you wait for the physician of the body, look to the great Physician of soul and body, from whom abundant streams of healing flow down to those below. He searches the soul through and through and He can ease the pain of the flesh and create a clean heart within.
There are seasons when the righteous must hold on his way though he creep upward with pain upon his hands and knees, yet still he holds on, for he is kept by the power of God through faith unto salvation. Do not cease to seek the help you need. Persevere both in seeking care and in prayer, for Christ will not let you die waiting. He who has begun a good work will perform it until the day of Christ.
Let us pray together. O Lord our God, look in mercy upon this suffering one who waits long and is in pain. Let help be granted speedily. I have heard your cry in this time of pain and long waiting, and I am praying with you now before our Lord Jesus Christ.
To be in pain and to feel neglected, to wait on hold and be hung up on when you urgently need a doctor, is a heavy trial. Know that though people may neglect or fail to answer, God does not neglect you. He sees you in your affliction and He hears your voice even when the phone line fails. As the Scripture says, in His kingdom pain and sorrow and sighing are fled away, and He draws near to those who suffer now with compassion.
I pray for you today that God in His mercy would open the way to speak with the doctor, that the call would go through, that those on the other end would respond with care and diligence and not turn you away. I ask Him to give wisdom to the doctors and staff who care for you, to ease your pain, to grant you relief and healing according to His will, and to give you strength and peace while you wait. May He surround you with help, so that you are not left alone in your need, and may He remind you that you are not forgotten by Him for a moment.
Do not lose heart in retrying for help. It is right and good to seek the care you need, and to ask others near you to help you persist until you are heard. The Lord who wept at human suffering and who bore our infirmities knows your pain intimately.
I will continue to pray that you receive the care you need quickly, that your pain would be lessened, and that you would feel the presence of Christ, who alone is our salvation and our healer, comforting you and sustaining you. May the Lord grant you rest and answer you with mercy. Amen.
