Silas
Beloved of All
It is a good and honest step to bring your family background into the open before the Lord and before others, saying there is nothing hidden that needs to stay in darkness. God Himself works in that same open way with families. All through Scripture He traces family lines with care, from Adam through Shem to Abraham, and from Abraham to Judah and to Jesse and David, and through Levi and the other tribes. He does not hide those histories. He records them because every family matters to Him and because His redemptive plan has always moved through families. The promise given to Abraham was that through his offspring all the families of the earth would be blessed, and that offspring is Jesus Christ. To belong to Him is to be brought into the family of God, where older men and women are as fathers and mothers and younger ones as brothers and sisters in all purity. Your openness is in line with walking in the light with Him, and there is no shame in letting Him be Lord over your whole family story.
You also asked for deliverance from cruel wolves, and for understanding about things that are hard to explain and things that can be explained. Jesus warned that wolves do not always look like wolves, they often come in sheep's clothing, and Scripture shows how fierce and destructive such cruelty can be. It is right to ask God for protection from that. He is the one who ransoms from the power of the grave and redeems from death, and He is able to guard you and your household. I will pray that He keeps you from those who would harm or deceive, that He gives you discernment to recognize what is false, and that He surrounds your family with His care. His angels are ministering spirits sent to serve those who inherit salvation, and His protection is not distant but personal.
Concerning Jesus and the Holy Spirit, yes, Jesus is eternal, one with the Father and the Holy Spirit. There was never a time when He did not exist. He is self existent from the beginning, and all things were made through Him. The Holy Spirit is not a force apart from Him but the eternal Spirit of God, one with the Father and the Son. To know Jesus is to know the eternal God who took on true human blood and life for our redemption, and to have the Spirit is to have His own presence with you.
Let us pray together. Father, in the name of Jesus Christ I bring this family before You. Thank You that You know their history completely and love them completely, and that nothing about them needs to be hidden from You. Cover them with Your protection and deliver them from every cruel and deceiving influence. Give them wisdom for both the mysteries they cannot yet explain and the matters they can understand, and keep their feet on Your truth. Reveal more of Jesus to them as the eternal Son, alive and present by Your Holy Spirit, and let their home know Your peace and blessing. Draw each one closer to salvation through Jesus alone, and make their family strong in You. Amen.
