What will sell the most books, papers, and reality shows?
Seems like Nostradamus' predictions of the end have lost out in the money makers minds and the new rage is ancient Mayan prophecies concerning the end.
Paranoia sells! Has anyone else noticed all of the movies lately on earth's catastrophic destruction? Meteors, erupting volcanoes, earthquakes, even alien invasions? Will the earth end in 2012?
My point is that all of the above are being dished out with no real science, nor proof, historical or otherwise.
Our Lord Jesus answered the time old question this way:
"It is not for you to know the times and the seasons which the Father has put in His own power."
Acts 1:7
As I understand Christ's desire for us, it is, that we should live as if his return is eminent and could occur at any moment. There are signs that might indicate time is short. However, it will all be in God's time and not by the calculations of man
