Lines of communication to open

Anonymous

Beloved of All
I am believing for communication to open with someone, I have been reaching out to them with words of encouragement, but feel like they have heart healing to do so they have closed themselves off. Praying for God to work within them and remove any past hurts that shut them off from people who can help them heal and come out of any heavy spirit.

We join you in lifting up this person before the Lord and we share your desire to see lines of communication opened and hearts healed. We understand the burden of reaching out with encouragement and feeling that your words are met with silence because of past hurts and a heavy spirit. We know God sees both your faithfulness and their pain, and we bring this together before Him seeking His will in Jesus' name.

We are reminded that God is the healer of broken hearts. He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds Psalm 147:3. The Spirit of the Lord Yahweh is on me, because Yahweh has anointed me to preach good news to the humble. He has sent me to bind up the broken hearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, and release to those who are bound Isaiah 61:1. For the one you are praying for who has closed themselves off, we pray that the Lord would do that binding up and releasing work within them. He can give a garland for ashes, the oil of joy for mourning, the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness Isaiah 61:3, and lift that heaviness that keeps them isolated.

We also encourage you to continue with patient love while respecting the boundaries they have set. Sometimes healing takes time and God works in the quiet when we cannot see. We are called to bear one another's burdens Galatians 6:2 and to comfort with the comfort we ourselves have received from God who comforts us in all our affliction 2 Corinthians 1:4. Continue to speak with gentleness and grace, for a gentle answer turns away wrath Proverbs 15:1, but also give space for the Lord to work and do not grow weary in doing good, for in due season we will reap, if we do not give up Galatians 6:9. We pray that you will have wisdom to know when to speak and when to simply intercede quietly, trusting that God can open doors that no one can shut Revelation 3:8.

We noticed your request speaks of praying to God but does not mention the name of Jesus. We want to gently remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to the Father. Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me John 14:6. There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved Acts 4:12. It is by believing in Jesus Christ, that He died for our sins and rose again, that we are forgiven and can come boldly before God in prayer. We encourage you to place your trust fully in Him and to pray in His name, for that is where our hope and healing are found.

We pray together for you and for this dear one. Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ and we lift up this person who is hurting and has closed themselves off. We ask that You would touch their heart deeply, heal every past wound and remove every hurt that has caused them to shut others out. Break the chains of the heavy spirit and clothe them with the garment of praise. Let Your peace which surpasses all understanding guard their heart and mind in Christ Jesus Philippians 4:7. We ask that You would open lines of communication according to Your perfect will and timing, and that You would surround them with people who can help them heal in a godly and safe way. For our friend who is interceding, give patience, wisdom, and continued love, and let them not be anxious but in everything by prayer and petition with thanksgiving let their requests be made known to You Philippians 4:6. We trust You to work within both hearts for Your glory. In Jesus' name we pray, amen.

We hear how much you care for this person and how hard it has been to keep reaching out with encouragement and feel the quiet on the other side, especially when you sense they are carrying old hurts.

Sometimes when someone has been wounded deeply, pulling back can feel safer than staying open, even to people who mean well. That distance is often more about protection than about you. Your steady, gentle kindness still matters, even when they are not able to respond to it right now.

One thing that often helps in this kind of season is to keep your messages brief and free of pressure to reply. A simple word of encouragement that lets them know you are thinking of them and praying, without asking for an answer, can keep the door open without making them feel cornered. In between, we can keep entrusting them to the Lord in prayer, trusting He is at work in ways we cannot see.

We are joining you in that prayer, asking God to bring healing at His pace and to give you wisdom and patience as you care from a distance.

Father, we lift this person to You and ask for Your gentle healing in their heart. Lift the heaviness they carry and surround them with Your peace. Give our friend wisdom to know how to love well, when to speak and when to give space, and guard both hearts with Your comfort. In Jesus name, amen.

Lord Jesus please richly bless, protect and guide them. Please help them in accordance with your perfect will Father. Thank you and praise you. In your holy name I pray. Amen.

We have heard your burden and join you in carrying it to the throne of grace. It is a sorrowful thing to stretch forth the hand of encouragement and find no answering hand, to speak words meant for healing and to perceive that the ear is heavy and the heart is shut. Yet this is the very condition which the Scriptures describe, that except the Lord give a heart to perceive and eyes to see and ears to hear, we remain closed to His voice and to the kindness He would send us through others.

We commend your desire to see this dear one healed of past hurts and delivered from a heavy spirit. Know that there is One who is appointed to this very work. He was sent to bind up the broken in heart, and best of all He is fitted for it because His own heart was broken. The soldier's spear pierced His side, and by that wound our wounds are healed. He does not merely calm the pain for a season, but He binds up, He makes whole, and He causes the bones which have been broken to rejoice. The least thing about Christ has healing in it, for the leaves of the Tree of Life are for the healing of the nations, and a single word from His lips, brought home to the heart by the Holy Spirit, can raise what was dead and soften what was hardened.

We will pray that the Lord, who alone can create a new heart and put a right spirit within, will do a gracious work in this one for whom you intercede. That He would remove whatsoever has made the heart fat and the ear heavy, that He would take away the gangrene of unbelief and despair which so readily settles upon a humbled spirit, and that He would give repentance where it is needed and comfort where there is contrition. We ask that any heavy spirit would be lifted by the Sun of Righteousness rising with healing in His wings, and that pardon and healing, which are one in Christ, would be known.

We pray also for you, that you may be kept in peace while you wait upon the Lord. Continue to speak the truth in love as God gives you opportunity, but rest in this, that the Holy Spirit is specially appointed to subdue the will and to draw the unwilling heart till it relents. We cannot open a closed heart by our own persuasion, but God can. Commit this communication to His wise and holy will, asking not merely that a door between two persons would be opened, but that the door of the heart toward Christ Himself would be opened first, for when the heart is right with God it will be rightly ordered toward others.

May the Lord grant to both of you a new heart to know Him, and may all your fellowship and encouragement be found in Him and under His ordering, to His glory.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. God is so in love with you. Be Encouraged!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Heal Me Lord Jesus Spirit, Soul, And Body

We join you in bringing this burden before the Lord, and we thank you for your loving concern for this person who has closed themselves off.

Your desire to offer encouragement while respecting their need for healing is good and Christlike. Scripture teaches that when we share in one another's sorrow the heavy burden is lightened, and that God Himself is the physician of both soul and body. Often a heart that has been wounded withdraws not out of unkindness but out of pain, and only God can reach the hidden places where past hurts have taken root. He alone can soften what has become hard, heal what has been broken, and lift a heavy spirit.

Continue to pray with patience and to show kindness without forcing a response. True healing takes time, like medicine applied faithfully by a wise physician. Keep offering encouragement as the Lord gives opportunity, but also give space for God to work in His timing. Pray that the Lord would guard your own heart from discouragement, and that you would walk in wisdom, trusting Him rather than pressing for a result. It is good to remain rooted in fellowship, in prayer, and in the counsel of mature believers as you wait on the Lord.

We pray with you now.

Father, we come to You in the name of Jesus Christ, through whom alone we have salvation and access to Your presence. We ask for Your healing work in this dear person who is hurting and withdrawn. You see every past wound and every sorrow that has caused them to shut others out. We ask that You would bring Your comfort and truth to those places, remove what hinders, and restore what has been broken. Lift the heavy spirit that weighs them down and fill them with Your peace. If it is Your will, open lines of communication that are healthy, honest, and honoring to You, so that encouragement and godly help can be received. Give wisdom and discernment to the one who is reaching out, that their words and actions would reflect Your love and patience, and that they would trust Your perfect timing and purposes above all. Draw both hearts closer to Christ, and let all relationships be shaped by Your design and Your grace. We ask this in the name of Jesus, our healer and hope. Amen.
