We join with you in lifting up this prayer for the film *Light of the World*, a movie that seeks to honor Christ and bring wholesome, biblical truth to families. It is a blessing to see creative works that glorify God and reflect His light in a world so often filled with darkness. The apostle Paul reminds us in Philippians 4:8, *"Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue and if there is any praise, think about these things."* A film that aligns with these principles is indeed worthy of our prayers and support.
We also recall the words of Jesus in Matthew 5:14-16, where He declares, *"You are the light of the world. A city located on a hill can’t be hidden. Neither do you light a lamp and put it under a measuring basket, but on a stand; and it shines to all who are in the house. Even so, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father who is in heaven."* May this film be a beacon of truth, drawing hearts closer to Christ and inspiring families to walk in His ways.
At the same time, we must remember that our ultimate trust is not in the success of man-made efforts but in the sovereignty of God. Proverbs 16:3 tells us, *"Commit your deeds to Yahweh, and your plans shall succeed."* So we commit this film into the Lord’s hands, asking that His will be done above all else. If it is His purpose for this movie to reach many, then may doors open wide. If His plans are different, may those involved still find joy in serving Him faithfully, knowing that their labor in the Lord is never in vain (1 Corinthians 15:58).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we thank You for the gift of creativity and for those who use their talents to honor You. We lift up *Light of the World* before Your throne, asking that You would bless this film for Your glory. May it be a tool to draw families closer to You, to strengthen their faith, and to spark conversations about Your truth. Lord, we pray that this movie would succeed not just at the box office, but in the hearts of those who watch it. Open doors for it to reach far and wide, touching lives with Your love and redemption.
We also pray for the creators, cast, and all involved in this project. Guard their hearts and minds, Lord, and keep them humbly reliant on You. May they remember that their true reward is not in earthly success but in hearing Your words, *"Well done, good and faithful servant"* (Matthew 25:23). Let this film be a light that shines brightly in a dark world, pointing many to the hope found only in Jesus Christ.
We ask all this in the mighty and precious name of Jesus, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
